Miss Margrits felt like our home in Granada. We liked this guesthouse, the lovely rooms, charming patio with a pool, nice breakfast. We experienced a reasonable cost-benefit ratio. The hosts were taking care of us, giving recommendations for activities, beaches,...

It's not often that one finds a B&B with a beauty that matches its web page photos, but Miss Margrit's is the real deal. It is very large with double courtyards and many places for visitors to congregate or simply to find their own quiet nook to read or just hang out.

Margrit was done an absolutely wonderful job of restoring an old colonial near riun into an authentic Spanish style mansion in the old world style. Chris does a great job of taking care of guests every need and whim.

The tiny pool in one of the courtyards provides a spot for a refreshing dip after a hot day exploring Granada. While the dining / kitchen area provides a natural spot for visitors to congregate and chat. The family style full cooked to order breakfasts are amazing, and incline one to linger with other guests over coffee after breakfast.

I'm a repeat visitor to Granada and would never consider staying anywhere else. It would be worth visiting Granada simply to relax at Miss Margrist's for a week.

The staff is great, Andy is a good and reliable driver for guests. Chris also set us up with Osmond a driver for our group when we wanted a specialized day trip. Osmond speaks good English and is HIGHLY recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice, but, older visitors might want to ask for a ground foor room.

Miss Margrit’s is an amazing place, not just for its grandeur and beauty but also for the welcoming nature of the owner, Chris.

We arrived after a long, delayed flight from the UK and were met by Chris’ driver Andy. We had been worried due to the fact we had missed the connection that this would cause problems, but Chris’ relaxed attitude calmed us down and Andy was there, at the amended time to greet us.

Arriving at Miss Margrit’s is like a arriving at a secret paradise. Walking in off the street you would never guess that such an amazing guest house lies behind the doors. There is so much space; areas to relax quietly and read a book, or chill out by the pool.

Our room was also pretty amazing, a comfy big double bed, walk in wardrobe, beautifully arranged bathroom and a balcony with typical Nicaraguan rocking chairs so we could sit and relax in private if we wanted. We also had air conditioning which was a saviour!

Evenings at Miss Margrit’s were also a highlight of our trip. Drinking Flor de Cana rum whilst we cooked up a feast, listening to music and generally just relaxing some more was exactly what we needed after long hot days of sight-seeing!

I cannot express enough how lovely our whole experience of Granada was, an amazing city with so much to see and do, however it was made all the more amazing by staying in this tranquil paradise and meeting Chris- we will definitely be back again in the future!

What more can I add to the unanimous praise of Miss Margrit's? My adult son and I stayed here for three nights before moving on to San Juan Del Sur. Miss Margrit's is everything one could wish for in a home away from home. We felt more like we were staying with friends, and not a hotel. Definitely spoiled us for any other place. Beds very comfortable, beautiful surroundings, made to order breakfast. Chris was very friendly and welcoming, and arranged for a tour guide, Andy, for us one day, who was very charming and informative - we made another new friend there! I can't wait to go back to Granada, and without a doubt will be staying at Miss Margrit's. No need to look any further!

Miss Margrit's is the nicest guesthouse I have ever stayed at. The whole place is beautiful and well considered down to every last detail. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Veronica cooks up a great breakfast and Chris makes the place very welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This guesthouse is absolutely amazing. After many different dormrooms was it great to sleep in this kingsize beds. Chris, the owner is a super-friendly man and we had really really nice days at this more or less homestay. The pool is refreshing, the livingroom sooo comfortable. The house is beautiful. If I come back to Nicaragua, I am sure I will come back to Margrits Guesthouse. There is nothing more to say. Wahnsinn!!!

Room Tip: It is absolutely not possible to choose the wrong room. This place is so great!

The property is incredibly spacious and beautiful. The pool was wonderful. Chris was incredibly welcoming, and my girlfriend and I enjoyed dining and talking with him, his friends, and other guests immensely. He was extremely helpful setting up transportation, as we had some wonky arrival and departure times. Totally laid back atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend highly to anyone staying in Granada.
