Miss Margrit's is a stunning oasis! We stayed at numerous places during our trip to Nicaragua and none can hold a candle to this place. Becky and Owen are wonderful hosts and we very much enjoyed their company and recommendations on what to do in Granada. The rooms and property were beautiful and we highly recommend a visit to Miss Margrits - we hope to return to visit in the very near future and won't consider staying anywhere else!

Miss Margrit's is a beautiful, clean hotel in Granada full of charm and amazing architectural details. I loved that it was not located on the tourist strip, but was still easy walking distance to everything. Becky and Owen were lovely, flexible and easygoing hosts with great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. I can't wait to go back again and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

The moment I stepped through the front door of Miss Margret’s, I knew the house was “magical”. We arrived late at night stressed, tired, hot and thirsty. Miss Margret’s is a sanctuary for wayward travelers. Once inside, the subtle lighting and spacious feeling of the house helped me decompress. The refreshing gardens made me feel cooler and immediately we were offered a cold drink. What more could you ask for? How about an air conditioned room and private bathroom?

We were shown to our room up stairs that had been restored to their original splendor. We were to discover that the Swiss woman who renovated the house did so with a brilliant sensitivity in keeping the integrity of an old colonial casa. The house made me feel as if I were in another time and space with its beautiful wood, immaculate tiles, and tasteful accoutrements. Colonial houses are built around a central garden, (Miss Margret’s has two gardens within the walls) and these gardens actually cool the surroundings and make living outdoors truly a unique, tropical experience.

Our room was quite warm when we went in but it took only minutes before the efficient and quiet air conditioner kicked in. If you like small boutique hotels with modern conveniences then you’ll love Miss Margret’s. I have a thing about “linens” and “towels” and it was obvious that Miss Margret had imported quality products…probably from Europe. The towels were big and luxurious and the bed linens simple and pristine so as not to detract from the style of the house.

Our hosts were always available to answer questions and see to our comfort. I swam in the pool each day and Owen brought me a big beach towel to use. Both Becky and Owen made suggestions for local restaurants and they were always there offering cold drinks when we returned from town. Breakfast is included and Owen makes a dynamite omelet that will keep you going all day. We found Miss Margret’s rates to be extremely good value. And there is a discount if you stay more than 2 nights. I kept returning earlier and earlier each day from town to take advantage of the tranquil seclusion of the house and a wonderful private swim.

We will be returning to the “magic” of Miss Margret’s soon.

We have stayed in many different, and excellent, guest homes in Europe, North America, and South America. Miss Margrit's sets the standard. It is immaculately clean, quiet, and wonderfully comfortable. The hosts go out of their way to assure a totally delightful experience. The house is situated in a residential neighbourhood within walking distance of virtually all of the many attractions and good restaurants that Granada has to offer. The private pool in the second patio provides a welcome respite from the city and heat...an oasis of tranquility. We recommend a stay at Miss Margrit's without reservation.

Needing a place to stay in Granada for a night before our flight out, we followed Trip Advisor's travelller's recommendations and stayed at Miss Margrit's and we are so glad we did. What a lovely guesthouse and a great location, with really friendly helpful hosts, Owen and Becky. Our room was huge, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was really delicious and Owen and Becky made us feel very welcome and at home. Their helpful hints on what to do for our day and where to go were spot on. Couldnt recommend this place enough!

Everything everyone else says about Miss Margrit's is spot on. We stayed for three nights and it was like a home from home... but better! Owen and Becky are great hosts, and can't do enough for you. The room was lovely, courtyards beautiful, pool refreshing, and Owen's omelettes are to die for... and do try his coconut bread toast! If we return to Granada we will most definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Granada for 5 nights. We had a wonderfull time. Owen and his wife were always ready for their guests. We can recommend this place to everybody who is planning to go to Granada. This is not just a B&B but one of the better ones or even the best you`ll find out there. The hospitality was amazing, everytime we came back from our trip they offered us some free drinks. The breakfeast was delicious everyday again. The garlic bread, coconut bread or fresh fruitsalad, ...

The city Granada was also a nice surprise for us. It is a beautifull and colorfull city with a ot activities like the Mombacho vulcano, the isletas, pueblos blancas, Masaya market/volcano and a lot of other places.
