I loved my stay in Hotel El Almirante. It has a wonderful location very close to the city center, the design, the small yard and pool add to the wonderful atmosphere. The staff speak English at different levels, so there was never any problem with communication. They checked me in early in the morning although their official hours are 14 pm, the also checked me out a few hours later without any problem.
The room 11 was spacious with a huge bed, VERY clean!, the AC worked wonderfully, the WiFi signal was incredibly good.
I used the pool only once in mid day, so it was very sunny (not only did I get tanned, I even burned in just half hour :-)- my stupidity, I know) and very clean (I do not know how it is on other days. One evening I experience some noise coming from outside as people were having fun by the pool but it lasted probably between 7-8 pm and otherwise it was always very quiet and peaceful, although the hotel was pretty full.
the breakfast was simple but very nice with a few options to choose from.
As I got the room through booking. com and paid with a card, I paid 52 USD per night for single occupancy (including taxes) which I think is reasonable enough, but if I read more of the previous posts, I would probably bargain :-).
I loved it and would definitely recommend to others.

For what this is, it's expensive. The pool is nice but is located in the central patio, which means that at all hours, particularly early in the morning, there may be shrieking kids in it - and the sound really carries straight into your room. (The hotel posts no restrictions on the hours of use, and there were a lot of young families staying here when I was there.)

The rooms, as with all such historical buildings in Granada, are rather dark, looking into the central patio - not a flaw of this hotel but a feature of this type of building. The staff were ok - reasonably efficient but not especially friendly. Air con was nice but in general this hotel is overpriced for what it is - mid range and unspecial.

Just one block away from the main square, location is superb.
Almirante is quiet, very clean and a pleasant place to stay.
The tiny pool that gets to be in the sun only a couple of ours may look pathetic at first but it is actually a great addition. It was very pleasurable to come back from sightseeing in Granada and enjoying a short deep in there. Service is excellent withe very professional and kind staff.
Would definitely recommend.

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently for two nights. We actually turned up an hour before check in, but they didn't even question this and checked us right in without any fuss or question.

Over the duration of our stay there were some renovations going on in the room adjacent to us, which generated quite a lot of noise for quite a while during the day, as well as the staircase to the 2nd floor being sanded which covered the pool with garbage.

However the staff were nice and courteous, the bed was huge and very comfortable, the AC and fridge both worked well, the wifi signal was good (room 11) and both the room and the hotel itself had been well maintained. The breakfast was good - while not special or anything as such, it was solid and more than enough to start the day.

All in all, a pleasant stay; but do bargain with them and offer to pay cash. We didn't do this and should have, given that it's off season currently.

Hotel is located in a good spot for visiting all of Granada's hotspots. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom is clean with shampoo and blowdryer. Pool is Nice and refreshing after a day of sightseeing. I would recommand it, but be zware of the taxes. If you boom online and get a quote which says it's tax included, it's probably not.
Breakfast is simple, but enigheid to start your day. WiFi workshop excellent in all areas.

Room Tip: Any room is good I suppose

This hotel, run by Best Western, is only 1.5 blocks from the central square in Granada. The rooms aren't huge but they are well-appointed and very quiet considering it's in the middle of the city. The pool is great and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was only okay and for a supposed 4-star hotel, they could improve the quality of the food.

Room Tip: The second floor is probably best as it's likely less noisy.
