“Quite and cosy”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

This is a small hostel with only two private rooms and a dorm therefore it's relatively quite. We stayed in a private room. There is no AC but we were given extra an fan on request. Staff are lovely and friendly.
Great court yard to chill in and large kitchen. Felt really safe and slept with the door open (mainly due to it being soooooo hot-but that's Nic weather for you). comfy bed. Great location to Central Park. Only down side was I had to frequently ask other guests to not smoke outside our room as it is only a mesh window- but everyone was really accommodating and happy to move.

This place was a life saver. We arrived in Granada with no place to stay (trying to be adventurous) not knowing Easter was such a big deal here. After 5.5 hours of searching we finally found La Casita! While it wasn't ideal for us (there is no glass on the window - which does allow for lots of air - and we wanted a little privacy) it really is a fantastic budget option. Only $16 for a private room with shared bathroom! We only stayed one night but if you have a way to cool off during the day, as it doesn't really cool down in the room at night, it could work for longer!

Good location and a nice place to stay for four or five nights. We enjoyed shopping at the market and cooking in the kitchen. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet stay in Granada.

Rating is average of this place but I can definitely say that this is happily not a party place. They have a set 10pm quiet time which is really nice. Our room was a bit too hot.. the fan couldnt really do a proper job. It was a bit stuffy but very clean. Bathroom was shared and very clean. Only issue was we had the room to the courtyard and people decide tk get up at 5am and turn on the light that shines in our window. Noise from the kitchen is well heard as its only a screen and bars for the window. Would be nice to shut out the noise from guests who dont know what courtesy is at 5am.

Walked to the bearded monkey near by and walked straight out. This place was next door. The day staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed out stay.
On the first night we had a different room and it was too hot to sleep. Luckily Grenada does lots of happy hours which helps with the sleeping. We moved to a different room for the second night which was much better.

My friend and I came here after seeing a rather gross and smelly room at a nearby hostel and I was delighted by how clean the room at La Casita was (especially the beds). The price was excellent too, especially for the most expensive city in the country. The bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas were very neat and tidy.

It's really not this hostel's fault that almost every vehicle in Granada is horribly loud, so sleep quality was rather low, but they do their best, and provided us with large fans to help us keep cool.

My friend and I really appreciated the staff's constant vigilance for security and gave the day-shift guy a big tip. He was so happy!

Room Tip: There's one room that doesn't face the street, see if you can get that one...
