We enjoyed meals here several times during our week long stay in Granada. We sampled great coffees and a surprising cacao tea, banana crepes with a rich, chocolate sauce and a luscious chocolate fondue with fresh fruit. The walls have interesting displays about the importance of chocolate in Mayan and Aztec cultures and its export to the new world. Workshops are available, and you can even make your own chocolate bars.
They share the courtyard with Hotel Spa Granada where you can arrange for a massage treatment that requires you to get covered head to toe with chocolate and then exfoliated with raw sugar. A guest at Casa Cubana jokingly described it as “such a decadent activity, it might be considered illegal in the United States.”
