We enjoyed meals here several times during our week long stay in Granada. We sampled great coffees and a surprising cacao tea, banana crepes with a rich, chocolate sauce and a luscious chocolate fondue with fresh fruit. The walls have interesting displays about the importance of chocolate in Mayan and Aztec cultures and its export to the new world. Workshops are available, and you can even make your own chocolate bars.

They share the courtyard with Hotel Spa Granada where you can arrange for a massage treatment that requires you to get covered head to toe with chocolate and then exfoliated with raw sugar. A guest at Casa Cubana jokingly described it as “such a decadent activity, it might be considered illegal in the United States.”

Local and western food, at the all you can eat breakfast buffet. Crepes stuffed with fruit and drizzled with chocolate plus killer coffe and an egg dish...scrambled with tomato and ham rounded out my meal. Others in my party had beans and rice, cheese, emelettes, pancakes, waffles. All were happy.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet ($6.00). Lots of options, made to order items included. Participated in workshop (make your own chocolate from bean to bar). Ismael was a great teacher. A must in Granada!

“For Chocolate Fiends”
Reviewed 11 May 2013

The place was clean enough, well serviced and intially welcoming ,but the drinks and snacks were alittle over priced. Lots of info on the history and the production of chocolate are strikingly displayed on the walls ,(blah,blah),........however it seemed too impersonal and dry reading.
.A definite one hit wonder place.
Its worth one visit---
