“Good place in a good location”

Casa del Agua is only half a block from the main square and very close to the best restaurants. It is run by Gerry from Ireland who is a very nice and helpful host. Ask for the Balcony Room. It's the best. There is a communal kitchen with a fridge where you can keep your breakfast stuff or buy a beer. A small pool is also available. There are two bikes that you can borrow. El Zaguan and Camelo are two very good restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs are more quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa drl Sgua. We found the room s very comfortable and good value. They included lots of cupboard space and large bathrooms. The kitchen was available all the time. A lot of the enjoyment of staying at this place was due to the friendliness of the owner Gerry. He was not "in your face " at all, but appeared to be genuinely friendly and helpful.very convenient location as we could stop into our place for frequent breaks as we toured the city.

Having read previous reviews we decided to contact Gerry and see if he could fit us in.
We were lucky enough to get the two nights I had originally requested and Casa Del Agua is everything we could have hoped for. Sad thing is that he was completely booked beyond those two nights. Meaning we had to move elsewhere. Trust me nothing else compares!!!! Not in the same price rang anyway.
Gerry has built a gem of a hotel, don't even bother looking elsewhere, contact him first and make sure you book well ahead.
He also does a fascinating tour with your choice of multiple destinations, loved the tile Factory, the fortress and of course the volcano!

This hotel and the proprietor Gerry are top notch. Great little pool for a dip. Safe and very close to the main drag. Nice staff. Wonderful advice! We visited for our honeymoon and Gerry went out of his way to make our stay special. There were roses on the bed, candles lit, and a welcome note of congratulations. We finished up our week at an overpriced resort, wishing we had spent the whole time here. I can't sing your praises enough!

This was our 2nd time staying in Granada and we definitely preferred Casa Del Agua over prior accommodations. You can't beat the location, its a stones throw from the park and restaurants. We stayed one night in the twin room and 2 in the queen on main level. We preferred the queen bedroom as it is larger but both had their own bathroom with the option of A/C (which you will probably want to pay the extra $ for as Granada is very hot!)
-Pool is great and to have use of the fridge/kitchen is a nice plus
-Gerry took us on his "Gerry tour" and was by far a better value and we got to do way more than any of the other tour operators: Tour of El Coyotepe (old fort/prison) was very interesting and we learned a lot of Nica history. From there we drove up Volcan Masaya, then did the Masaya markets and finally Laguna De Apoyo. Great day!
-The staff were all very nice and everything was clean
-Gerry is also great at getting back to you with any questions/reservations
-Good value

I visited Nica with a couple girlfriends over thanksgiving week and this place blew us away! The place is safe, quiet, relaxing, and full of charm! We shared a room on the first floor and I also stayed in the balcony room, both of which were clean and comfortable. The owner is very attentive and knowledgable. It felt like we were right at home in the middle of Granada. There is a very expensive hotel just across the street but those people don't know what they are missing. The casa del agua looks and feels like a boutique hotel, but costs only as much as a budget hostel.

My wife and I stayed in Casa del Agua for 3 nights around Christmas time
and our stay was amazing from the booking phase to check out.
Gerry Webb was very accommodating and very helpful with our travel needs. He also made us
feel like at home ..like mi casa es su casa.
What was so amazing about Casa del Agua?
1. Location - walking distance to everywhere, across the street from historic but expensive La Gran
Francia Hotel (we checked a low end room for $85/night and it had an old house smell)
2. Price: $35/night for the two of us, clean and comfy room, quiet, hot water, big screen TV which we didn't use, fan, A/C (extra $8/night), breakfast
not included but the house has a modern kitchen, purified water free, beer available for a few cordobas (honor system), etc
3. WIFI free and excellent signal
4. Security - good, safe to walk around at night from restaurants etc back to Casa de Agua.
5. Inviting and clean swimming pool
6. Gerry provided excellent suggestions for restaurants, tours etc; he also does a Gerry tour which we didn't have time to do.
If Gerry is not around the house to answer your question, check O'shea Irish bar 3 blocks away :)
