Wonderful father and son hosts will make your stay in Granada. This hotel is in a great part of town. The rooms are sophisticated at great value. A cleaner comes every day and when we were here (for a week in November) she did our laundry for us at a very reasonable price. The owner, Stephen, was taking a trip to his friends house on the coast the weekend we were due to leave so he took us with him on an unforgetable adventure and dropped us at San Juan del Sur the next day. He was a fantastically warm and accommodating host who really went above and beyond. Don't miss Il Padrino.

Great host! The rooms are clean and modern with fan (special fans that were equilly good as the AC) . The hotel is located in the center. We arrived and immediately we were offered a drink on the house. Toby was great, he took us to a place where we got mojitos at a good price and gave us a lot of information about the city. He arrange transport to the laguna. Perfect stay, definately recommendable! Since we are not really fond of animals, the presence of the dog was a little bit dirty sometimes, but it is was a nice dog!

We stayed at Il Padrino for only one night but plan to stay there again soon. Everything is very clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable and had a relaxing time. The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with huge paintings. It's a quiet neighborhood and we had the best sleep in a long time. The mattress and the pillow are A DREAM! We can highly recommandable ths English-run place.

It took me a while to find this hidden gem in Granada, it is a well kept secret. After staying in Granada for almost a year I know for sure that Il Padrino is the best place to stay when you are looking for an affordable, comfortable, warm, quiet, clean, welcoming place. Actually it is more like a home than a hotel with only five rooms. And it is run by the family so don’t be surprised when you are invited to a tasteful homemade pasta. The rooms are simply beautiful, with a most comfortable bed, TV, good shower and doorswith glass opening to the garden. Further it has all amenities you need: kitchen, internet and a common room with television. Il Padrino is just a few blocks from the central square and some local shops are just around the corner.

A great location - Quiet and peaceful, but close to the places you want to visit. The rooms are clean, and modern. Use of a fridge & kitchen. But most of all, run by a very friendly and welcoming family. We planned to stay 3 days but ended up staying 10.

From the moment you walk into this beautiful hotel you will be in awe and breathtaken by the brillant layout and design. Cathedral ceiling, beautiful artwork and magnificent architecture are just a few details that will greet you upon your entry.

The staff is more than friendly, making you feel right at home and even part of the family. Very knowledgeable in all the attractions around town, they will help guide you through the lovely historic district of Granada as well as all the natural scenic areas that surround it. This home away from home is truly a jewel and you will most definitely be happy that your footsteps led you to it's entryway. Happy travels!

From the day you arrive in Granada, you are overwhelmed with the historic beauty of the old colonial town. Hotel la Mesa del Padrino holds the bar high with its accommodations, great customer service, and fantastic facilities, that make you feel right at home in the indigenous jungles of Nicaragua. Close enough to walk around town, yet quiet enough to enjoy a nice relaxing evening amidst the views. Simply...the Best!
