Pay $1 and go to the top of the bell tower for the best panoramic view of Granada, but please...don't ring the bells.

The view from the top was good and the church itself was beautiful. The stairway to the top was quite steep and narrow, if people were coming down you had to walk back down in order to let them pass through, also it was very crowded at the top which made it difficult to take pictures or move about. I would suggest they limit the number of people allowed at the top at one time or maybe if you go pretty early it wouldn't be so crowded. I would do it again, it only costs $1 and the views are worth the drawbacks.

Climb to the top of the tower for an incredible view of the whole city! Since the churches are the tallest structures in Granada, you can see above all the buildings around you, the volcanoes in the distance, and people passing by below.

A tiny staircase up to the top if the bell tower on a clear day and you are rewarded with amazing views from all sides of the volcano, the lake, the cathedral and tiled rooftops of a lovely city.

An old, beautiful, historic church with a cool (kinda creepy) statue of crucified Jesus in a glass case. The inside of the church is gorgeous but the main attraction is the bell tower. A climb up a narrow winding staircase brings you to the bell tower and the best views of Granada. Totally worth an hour of your time when in Granada. Near enough to the city to walk there from many other sites or hotels.
