I enjoyed walking through and taking a look at the collection of art, unfortunately when I was there the actual church was not open to visiting so I could only peek in.

The town is not big on museums, but this collection is quite interesting and worth seeing. The spaces are well presented, the artifacts are of local significance. A nice escape from the sun and heat as well as the grounds and buildings let in a nice breeze from the lake... Worth seeing for the 2$ admission price... Hope this review was helpful!!!

The structure itself is interesting, but the thing I liked the most were the sculptures at the very far end of the building. There´s not much to do here though.

The convent is definitely worth a stop, just to see the Pre-Columbian statues with bird and animal carvings that were discovered nearby on Zapatera Island. There is also a nice collection of ancient ceramics along with a wonderful collection of paintings from the Solentiname Islands that are done in that distinctive, primitive style for which the islanders are famous. From the steps of the convent there is a nice view of Granada with Volcan Mombacho towering in the distance.

A good choice for lunch or dinner is El Garaje which is located behind the convent on Calle Coralles, just a short walk down from the corner.

This was an interesting part of Granada history, and since it was located just next to where we stayed, we visited. We went through it on our own. We were never asked if we wanted a guide, All the signs and information plagues were in Spanish.
