This quiet and comfortable hotel is a beautiful old building situated in the hearth of the Old city. The old doors and wood fixtures have been kept, which makes it historical. It's difficult to imagine a better place to stay in Granada. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The staff and service is outstanding.

A group of 9 went to paint a school in Granada with Rotarians. We where so happy with every detail of our hotel which was within walking distance to the square and many restaurants.
I so enjoyed our two bartenders Remell and Franklyn. They were so attentive and went the extra mile. They also offered to teach us the salsa and show us some night life to practice.
They helped fill our off time.
At the desk, Maria, Claudia and Abraham and the entire staff were there for our every need.
The rooms were always clean and fresh. The pool was amazingly refreshing and always clean.
The food at the resaurant was the best. The chef knows what he is doing.
AND the best was seeing Terry, one of the owners, every morning at breakfast with her 2 buddies - parrots Charlie and Baby. She is why the hotel runs so smooth. We should all have a boss like her.

Room Tip: All are wonderfull.

The hotel is very nice as described. A special shout out to Claudia and Maria at the front desk, they were simply amazing. Always friendly, great english, and very helpful for anything we needed. The dinner we had in the restaurant however, was very disappointing.

My family stayed at Casa San Francisco over the Christmas holidays and we were very impressed. The hotel is very welcoming, the staff speaks english, the food was delicious and the owner of the hotel treated us like we were friends. We had a lovely room in a convenient location. The best part for me was what happened after our departure. I left my glasses in the hotel and a week later I called the hotel to see if they had been found. Yes, they had and they were sitting in their safe. They offered to mail them to me in the States and they never charged me for shipping. I was and am impressed. If you are traveling to Granada you must stay there. You will not be disappointed!

We had an enjoyable 4 nights here. We ate in the restaurant {excellent!] while staying in another hotel in the city (La Islita) = and decided then to move to this hotel the following night. Availability was such that we had to move rooms after one night. Both rooms were attractively furnished, clean, comfortable and quiet and the staff carried out the move for us so our day was not interrupted. The second room was by the pool - too small to swim properly but great for a refreshing dip in the Granada heat! Drinking fountain and pool towels supplied.
Despite facing on to the pool we had no issues with privacy. The roof terrace affords great views over the city.
The reception staff were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. They arranged personalised taxi and boat trips for us = and even interpreted on our behalf over the phone after we'd left! We'd definitely choose this hotel on a return trip to Granada. Excellent value for money.

We just returned from Nicaragua and were pleasantly surprised with the places we saw and the wonderfully welcoming people everywhere we went. We particularly enjoyed Casa San Francisco in Granada with their wonderful staff, especially Claudia and Giovanni. Giovanni was our guide on a very full day touring Pueblos Blancos, Laguna de Apoyo, Masaya market and Masaya Volcano. He spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable of all the places we visited. Both him and our driver Julio were helpful, courteous and friendly with a wonderful sense of humour. We had a great day and strongly recommend booking a tour with Giovanni. Also, the food in the hotel restaurant Los chocoyos was absolutely wonderful! We would defintiely go back again.

My son and I spent 4 nights (a 5th night was in the annex because we wanted to extend our stay) and we could not have been more pleased. The staff - Claudia, Maria and Kim as well as the wait staff, chef and bar tenders - were more than cordial. They went out of their way to find us the best guide and drivers and even made us a reservation when we left for san Juan del Sur and obtained a driver to take us there. The price was extremely reasonable and the mojitas reign.
