This hotel is nice and centrally located on a quiet street. Easy walk to the square and main street for night life. Within walking distance to all transportation. Our room was small but had AC, hot water, tv and all the basics. Our only complain was that the bed was very uncomfortable and there was a funky smell when you first walked into the room. Part of that could be attributed to the age of the place and the climate. Not unbearable. The hotel seems to be well maintained, they were doing renos when we were there.

The courtyard pool was a welcome option at the end of a hot day. There is a filtered water dispenser at the pool to fill your bottle. If the bar was open you got pool side service and there was a happy hour. Excellent Sangria! Unfortunately the bar/bistro was closed most of the days we were there.

Staff:: Loved the girls working the desk!!! Very friendly and helpful and great sense of humour.

The price for this room included breakfast and was very good. You got to select from a menu of about 10 items.

Watch out for the turtle that lives in the courtyard. Just about stepped on him a couple of times.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and lovely RPCV owners. My parents and I had a wonderful experience here! The food is amazing and the staff organised a great tour for us! I would recommend this to place to anyone (especially PCV's in Nicaragua) :) Thank you Hotel Casa San Francisco!

Las Dos Hermanas have captured the genius of doing well AND doing good. True: clean rooms and good service aren't to be taken for granted - and they are not at the Casa.

But on top of that, the owners are experienced agents for justice and mercy, for equity and the public good, not only in Nicaragua, but elsewhere in the world (get them to tell you some stories!).

They have made the hospitality industry serving the local community well, not just its guests. It's my understanding that the local employees are paid a fair wage. I'm told that both the owners and the staff are involved in improving the world around them, as well as serving the world that comes to them.

Oh yes, by the way, great stay at a great location for (I think) the 6th or 7th time!

Room Tip: I didn't use room service or the spa, thus no rating.

We enjoyed 4 nights in Granada and were delighted with Casa San Francisco. The hotel is perfectly located in town, but far enough away from the Main Street and it was quiet and charming. Breakfast was varied and delicious and we enjoyed tapas also. The balcony had chairs which we used for reading; we would recommend the second floor, which was away from the pool. Terry the owner was interesting and welcoming and all the staff were gracious and polite. Excellent value for a lovely experience, thanks!

We stayed here with our adult daughter and my elderly parents. We loved it! The location was perfect. The staff was very helpful in arranging tours and in recommending restaurants etc. The rooms were lovely, cool and clean. The hotel has a boutique feel with a lot of plants and flowers. We had cocktails nightly on the rooftop terrace to take in the views of Granada from another angle. Breakfast comes with the room and our group ate heartily and thoroughly enjoyed everything...a favorite was the french toast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We live just outside of Granada but occasionally venture in for an evening and spend the night to avoid the perils of nighttime driving. Casa San Francisco is neat and clean and has pretty garden areas and an inviting pool. The staff are well trained, attentive, and go out of their way to be welcoming and facilitative. We stayed in #5 which was cozy, attractively decorated and had AC and hot water in the shower. A short walk from the Central Park and adjacent to other spots to visit. Priced at or below most of the competition in the area and it includes a full breakfast with a number of options.

Casa San Francisco was a true gem! We stayed here from June 4th through June 9th, 2014. The staff was so helpful even before we got there. We stayed in room number 5, which is an adorable room with a double bed and easy access to the rooftop terrace which has incredible views. The whole hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was an adorable little space away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. The breakfast was also AMAZING. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be returning!
