This is a fantastic review of the horrors of World War II and the D-Day invasions. I highly recommend taking the time to watch the show. You can reach it from the village of Arromanches by walking up the path from the village - about 15 minutes.

If you want to learn history, don't bother with this show. It's a great 360 experience, but unless you know what's going on, you're not going to learn anything. It's a visual chronological review in news clippings of the invasion of Normandy. No commentary, no explanation. Franklly, it gives the impression that it was easy--completely contrary to reality. We visited after spending hours in the DDay museum in Bayeux which does a wonderful job of explaining the history and the difficulties. Arromanches was overwhelmed with tourists and buses--it was, after all, DDay week--and it was not a pleasant experience for this history lover. Had I known what it was going to be, I would not have gone. That said, if you just like 360 movies, it's a good experience.

Different to any other museum in the D Day landing area. We visited on a wet morning during our fantastic week in the region for the 70 year commemorations.
The film is projected on screens right round the room, so loads of different images and lots I have certainly never seen before, all brilliantly put together with very moving music.
There were lots of school children in when we were there, and their attention never wavered once, all as gripped as we were.
Highly recommended, good value and one of the many many highlights of our visit. You can park next to the museum for 3 Euros for the day, and can then walk down to Arromanches afterwards which is good idea on busy days as the parking in the town is very limited.

Even our kids (11 and 9) liked this movie, and that's saying something. Incredible shots of the landing, most of which I had never seen before (indeed, they claim that it's "never-before seen footage" from archives). No dialog except for the words of the leaders (Churchill, Roosevelt, etc). Great graphics depicting the progression of the war. Well worth the admission price. We were only in the gift shop a few moments because we had to leave, but I would have definitely considered purchasing this video -- not sure it was even available for sale.

We visited as a group of 10 adults and 8 children aged 4-13 and we were all moved by this. The film coupled with the location really hammer home what happened and the impact it had.

A walk down to the pretty town is recommended after watching the film.
