“Nice Hotel for an overnight stay”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

We stayed here one night while travelling from Tours to Orléans. The hotel is conveniantly located between those two cities, in a quiet little town. There are some good restaurants around too (for example, Auberge des Troi Rois) Rooms are clean and good sized ( we had a room on the second floor). The couple who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for biking to Chambord, the hotel even rents bicycles!

PS: We were worried about the remarks in other reviews concerning the nuclear plant. Although it is nearby, it is no issue at all. Most of the times you won't even notice it.

Room Tip: We paid 60 euros for a room in August 2013, which seems like a very good price. If the price where h...

The owners were very friendly and helpful. They breakfast was good, a freshly baked pain au chocolat, croissant and raisin whirl each plus meat, cheese, eggs etc. You certainly wouldn't leave hungry.
We spent a pleasant hour with a bottle of chilled white local wine in the courtyard garden. (15E so not an excessive price)
The location was good, very close to Chambord, but the Nuclear power station was a bit of a surprise (but not over intrusive). We did take a picnic down to the banks of the Loire which was quite close and pleasant.
The rooms (no air conditioning) were a good size but as the walls and ceiling were covered in a slate blue fabric I found this very depressing and, as it had obviously been there for many years, unhygienic. The bathroom was a good size and clean but the shower was attached to the bath taps and had to be hand held.

We stayed two nights in our way to Paris. Hotel location is very good, near Chambord and Blois, very convenient to visit Loire Castles. Hotel is very nice and quiet, room was clean, not very big if you travel in family. We were two adults, a child and a baby. Room space was in average small and we were located in the second floor (no elevator) so difficult to carry two babies and all the stuff. This days were extremely hot (42 degrees) and room was very hot even with the fan provided (no air conditioning). However if you travel in couple or with older children, i recommend it. They also rent bikes in there, less expensive than in Chambord Chateau.

We were two familes travelling together - one with an infant and the other with two young kids. They set us up with adjacent rooms on the 2nd floor. The rooms are quite basic but clean & comfortable and the place is quiet. In Aug with the window open you don't miss the a/c. The hosts were nice and welcoming. The hotel is ideally located as a base from which to visit Chambord & Chenonceau. About a 15-min drive to some good eating in Beaugency.
