Compared to the two other hotels in Buc. This is the best price/quality you can get. Nice personnel, clean rooms. A bit little though, no noise a part from the ventilation. I was there so many times, try to have rooms 20 or 30. I find them somewhat bigger. One thing though, TV volume stops at 8, good because no noise from neighbors but we can't hear tv either

This is a cheap hotel so I did not have high expectations. Needed a hotel close to my meeting to get at least a few hours of sleep in. The noise of flushing toilets, people walking and showering etc was such that from 7am onwards it was simply very hard to sleep. Not recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for room where the you do not hear the noise of others showering, walking and flushing toilets...

ROOM TWO in the Buc Lounge hotel would bring a look of anguish to the face of the most battle hardened Spartan. Having arrived on a Saturday to join friends from a London based golf society for four days outside Versailles I little realised that I would literally be living out of my suitcase. There is not so much as a stick of storage in the room.

Nowhere to put jumpers, shirts, pants or socks just a formica top about 18 inches square beneath which hung two fragile coat hangers on a rail, one of which broke on day two when I attempted hang up my jacket. My room was 50% bedroom and 50% shower and lavatory with only a thin bead curtain to separate the two. Anyone walking past could watch me at my ablutions through the window had they been unfortunate enough with their timing.

And the clanking bedroom radiator is far warmer than the reception one receives on arrival in the front area of the hotel that combines as reception, bar, lounge and breakfast room. Spacious the Buc Lounge is not. Nor helpful.

When one of my friends asked if we could get a taxi into Versailles for dinner on Saturday night, the receptionist/manageress took a leaf out of General de Gaulle's book and simply said 'Non.' So we had to cast about and make our own arrangements.

Breakfast is also a pretty joyless affair but then one really cannot wait to get out of this place and go elsewhere. It might suit backpackers who are simply looking to dump their rucksacks, shower and crash out for the night before moving, on but anyone looking for anything above that should not even consider staying in this pokey, unwelcoming, gloomy backwater providing the most limited of facilities. I cannot recall ever staying anywhere that was worse.

Room Tip: Choose a good room somewhere else. If you have to stay here the upper floor rooms are better than ro...

The hotel is the small town of Buc close to Verseilles. There is no lift. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Ours had separate toilet cubicle and a small shower cubicle on either side of the door as you entered the room.

The WIFI worked quite well in the room.

On arrival we were asked if wanted breakfast. We said that were not sure, but as they wanted to know we declined.

The hotel is inexpensive (apart from breakfast) and there is plentiful free off street parking around the corner.

A lovely, quiet, clean, comfortable, small hotel.
I stayed in room 31 on the 3rd floor; so quiet and splotlessly clean, even the toilet smelt lovely! Comfortable bed, powerful, hot shower and kettle in the room with tea and coffee and a complimentary bottle of water each day.
30 metres from the hotel is a supermarket and pharmacy and bus stop for Versailles.
The only downside to this hotel is it's location 4 km outside versailles. However it only costs 15 Euro's in a taxi and 2 Euro's on the bus which takes 15 minutes and stops ouside the palace.
Staff very friendly and helpful; printing out bus timetables and maps.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 31 is lovely!

Spend one night in this hotel for a business trip. Staff was overall friendly and checkin went smooth without complications. Costs around € 80,- The room was very small giving you access to all facilities needed like toilet, shower, etc. But is for my taste too close to the bed. Coming to the bed - maybe it was just bad luck - but the mattress was by far the worst i have ever experienced in my life - please change as soon as possible - and I have been to very exotic place before. So as a conclusion without the bed it could have been a good night of sleep if you are only interested in this. Do not expect a chateau. But Buc and the rest of the surroundings is very nice. Breakfast was for € 9 ok - A little refurbishment here and there and everything will be fine!

The Buc Lounge Hotel is the perfect place to stay for people doing business in Buc (GE Healthcare, Varian, etc.). The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, and the WIFI works great. There is a supermarket conveniently located next to the hotel and you can easily walk from the hotel to Buc industrial area. However, I would not recommend it for people willing to visit Versailles if they do not have car. Public transportation is poor between Versailles and Buc, and a car is mandatory
