“Yes, I work the front desk and kitchen”
Reviewed 7 March 2013

Arrived via Taxi from CDG after a long flight from the US. Taxi ride was expensive but uneventful. Snowing in Buc. Front desk person was extremely helpful and suggested I participate in the Sunday morning brunch, which I did. After a few hours, I asked if there were restaurants open on Sunday. Reply was not in Buc, but in Versailles. Which was a 20 euro Taxi trip away. Hmmm, not many options. I asked the front desk person if they had any ideas, which to my delight, he stated he would make me a Parisian sandwich to sate my hunger. Rooms are extremely small yet clean. Would I recommend this hotel in Buc? Yes. But, next time I will stay in Versailles and rent a car or hire a taxi.

This place was cheapish and close to Versailles. It is about a 20 euro taxi ride into the heart of Versailles and it is very good value. The service was first class, and friendly. Definitely a business mans hotel as the kitchen closes on Friday evening and opens weekend days and the restaurant is very popular, especially lunch times. The family room is smallish and some might find it too small, but we all like each other so the smallness was ok. It is right across the rd from a big supermarket with a great bakery so food is easy to come by and cheap. No lift so the 2nd floor is a long way up with bags. We didn't use the restaurant so cant comment. The place was clean and tidy. The carpets in the stairs are a little worn but clean and tidy. Overall i thought this was a great place to stay and not too far from versailles. The supermarket was excellent. If you are a family trying to keep the costs down, then this is a good option. The male concierge is really friendly and great at his job. Thanks for a nice stay.

Stayed here in June 2012 for one night after flying into CDG Paris before driving down to the Loire Valley for a holiday.

Good Budget hotel, although set in an Industrial Estate with not much else around.
Intermarche supermarket opposite but that closed at 8pm just after we arrived.
Restaurant not open during weekend evenings so we could not get anything to eat, and after a nightmare drive from CDG (3 hours, due to road accident) we were famished.

Drove into Buc and ate in a small Pizzeria which was sufficient. Then drove into Versailles (10 mins)

Hotel Room had one double bed, one single bed and was clean, tidy and modern.
Room was very warm due to weather, however a fan was included.
Great Coffee Machine! & Vending machine in Hotel reception

Didn't avail of Breakfast the next day as we wanted an early start and grabbed something en route.

Would recommend this hotel as a one night stop over but not for an extended stay due to lack of facilities/location. Would use again.

The good: the staff was fabulous, breakfast was very good (fresh squeezed OJ, fresh eggs, lovely pasteries and breads, fresh fruit), room was spacious, less than 10 minute drive to Palace of Versailles, free parking, grocery store across the street

The not so good: there was a strong sewer smell throughout our floor (top floor) which was masked by these glass containers filled with strong blue liquid air freshener. We brought one into our room to mask the smell, but when the freshener scent got too strong, we returned it to the hallway where it had started to smell like sewage without the freshener. Shower drained very slow - I think there is an overall plumbing problem. The room also had only one skylight and no windows - I'm glad we were mainly there at night when the absence of natural light was to be expected.

We actually used our Best Western Gold Crown Club points to pay for two nights at this hotel, so I'm not sure what the actual rate was, but we originally chose it because it was close to Versailles (AND free with our points). The room was very nice and well-equipped, the wi-fi worked great, the restaurant was very good, the breakfast was full of variety and options compared to all the other smaller hotels we'd stayed at during our visit to France, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The only complaint, if you can even call it that, would be that it was a little inconvenient location-wise. Your only option for food was their restaurant, which wasn't cheap. We did try going to the super market across the street, but like so many places in Europe, it closed up before 8:00 p.m., so we honestly just skipped dinner that night altogether. Other than that we would definitely give it an excellent rating.

We stayed here for a stopover on the way back from a holiday in the south of France. After 12 hours in the car it was a sheer pleasure to arrive and find a clean, well equipped and well air-conditioned room waiting. The family room was a good size with proper beds and plenty of pillows etc. The TV was a big plasma on the wall and we had an excellent coffee maker in the room too. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The only reason it didn’t get top marks was the fact that the restaurant was closed and we had to go out to eat. Be warned it is closed on a weekend although there are some nice places to eat fairly close by.

Arrived for stopover on way home. Easy to find was signposted as soon as you came off motorway. Very near to an airport but it must have only couple of flights if that as we didn't hear anything. Its disadvantage was its location stuck right in the middle of an Industrial Park. There were no restaurants except the hotel one according to the receptionist. So we walked across to the supermarket directly opposite hotel instead and grabbed some supplies as very grouchy exhausted kids were too tired to wait til it started serving evening meals. Rooms were fab. Very funky with a really lovely coffee machine. TV was flat screen & we just hooked up lead to laptop & were able to watch movie. Only major drawback was lack of aircon it was a very hot night it was like a sauna. But didn't overly matter too much as slept great. Everything spotlessly clean. price was brilliant too (booking.com) On drive out discovered really pretty village of Buc about two minute drive looks good place to eat out.
