Having arrived at Cite Europe shortly after opening, our dining choices were limited. Le Provencal seemed to be open and the hostess was busy setting tables, as we walked by she said bonjour. We decided to give it a try. The breakfast menu is simple but worked for us. We had the croque-monsieur, croque-madame and a typical fry up style breakfast. Everything arrived fairly quickly and was piping hot. While the food was basic it definitely tasted better than if eating the same in the UK. While eating we were given complimentary orange juice which was a nice touch. 3 breakfasts and 3 hot drinks came to about € 25 or roughly converted to £21. To us this seemed reasonable especially for the service we received. Also a lot of the menu was already translated to English if that isa factor for you. For a decent no frills breakfast I'd recommend trying Le Provencal.

Came here again as part of a family day out in Calais. Served promptly by a male waiter who was charming and kept checking to make sure all was well. He helped us out with hot water to warm my baby son's food which was appreciated. This place serves up big portions of yummy food for a great price - we were given a 10% voucher off our mains and starters which helped. For 3 courses for 2 people, a pint of beer and a glass of wine we spent €49, a real bargain.
This is my new come-to restaurant in Cite Europe!

Stopped here on the way home from a holiday in Picardy. We both had the Formule set menu - bourguignon with chips and salad was HUGE and very tasty, and the sugared crepes were nicely cooked (bit more sugar needed for my taste really!). Soft drinks were fairly pricy but this is typical wherever eating in France. We spent €43 which we felt was very good value with hot drinks also included, and service was friendly too. Would come back!

The food is nice and so is the atmosphere, but beware of the tricky waiter tricks. I speak French but the waiter insisted on English. I still spoke French, so when I ordered 'un demi ' he knew what I wanted. However ther people on the next table who only wanted a Hal - got half a litre. We were given a 10% discount voucher only to be told it was not valid for the formule menu that we had chosen. That was fine as we had already an amount in mind including a tip. So the extra we were charged came out of the tip anyway. All that aside it was a nice tasty meal with attentive service.

Went in today after shopping. Was around 11am the place was empty, but we received a very friendly welcome. We both had mushroom omelette with fries & salad, the omelettes were very light but with plenty of filling & were very tasty. We then had the crepes with chocolate & chantilly, we highly recommend these they were absolutely delicious. The restaurant soon filled up & we were very pleased that we chose to go there, it is a pretty place, which is also very relaxing with very friendly & helpful staff. It was a very nice way to end our trip to Cite Europe & would definitely return to eat there in the future, If you can, try you'll be very pleased you did.
