Slightly out of town but very peaceful for that, and an easy walk into the village to stock up on supplies. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, although like everywhere on the Ile De Re, the TV was limited to a few French channels. Lack of communication on behalf of the staff ( no idea what time breakfast was) but it didn't really matter as I was self catering.
We stayed at the hotel for four nights. We were in a one bed apt. which was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The large lounge had enough room to house a sofa / tv unit and table and chairs - there is a kitchen area in the corner- with cooker/fridge/microwave- (bring your own travel kettle) good quality pots/pans/crockery.etc..are also provided. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage/fitted units. The bed was very comfy. The tiled bathroom has a bath and an over bath shower. There is a separate wc. There are abt 25 (1 or 2) bed apts at the complex. There is a large open air swimming pool in the centre.- with plenty of loungers available.
After 5pm the reception closes for the day/ the security doors/gates are locked and access is by using a security pin no..the car park is within the complex-so this gives peace of mind to car users. The place felt very safe and relaxed.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a large supermarket a short walk away for those who like to cook on holiday. The town is very picturesque and it is an easy 10-15 min walk to the lovely harbour where the restauarants are located- the beaches are also just around the corner from there.
We searched the internet- the hotel has its own website - but we got a better deal via expedia. This hotel/complex like others in the area requires a guarantee of abt 300e -when you book directly with the provider-
In short-the hotel was super-the place was welll tended and the apartments were very clean and comfy. For what its worth we would recommend it and would return.
