“A lovely little bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

Just amazing to see a bridge remaining after almost thousands of years. A good example of Roman engineering.

“Interesting Stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

Make sure you stop here if you are travelling through.
This bridge dates from roman times 2300 years ago to be exact. You will notice that the bridge has no mortar except that added in modern times and that the angle of the bridge is such to allow a horse drawing a cart across with relative ease.
This was part of the key road from Rome and is the only bridge still intact of that road.
About six years ago it was closed to traffic. The site has good parking but says nothing about the history of the bridge.
It has good parking on site.

“Good photo op”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

The first time we went to see the bridge, the weather wasn't amenable. The second time it was just drizzling, so we went for it. The bridge is a fine example of Roman construction. It is located near a scenic river. All in all, it's an opportunity for a great photo.

“...A bridge”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

Sitting astride the Calavon on the ancient Via Domitia, this bridge dates back to Roman times and is about 2000 years old, but still carries limited road traffic. Beautiful, but there is only the bridge there

“A Roman bridge”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2013

We had seen this mentioned in a travel guide. Ran across it while driving the lovely country roads. It is a fine example of Roman craftsmanship and a pretty picture. So I hate to rate it as average but theres so much more to see and visit in the Luberon that you can miss this or stop for a few minutes to take a photo.
