This chalet is one of Purple Ski's chalets, and we've stayed twice (and in the Lapin Blanc on another holiday).
This was a proper luxury holiday - the chalet is georgeous, just right for 2 or 3 families, and the purple ski experience is amazing - the service was second-to-none. It started well with a comfortable transfer in a minibus to ourselves, a DVD on for the children, and a bottle of champagne and picnic for us!
The chalet itself is like a luxury home from home, comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms with Neal's Yard products, a PS2, DVD, TV, table football etc etc... - and not forgetting the hot tub with a great view.
The food was fabulous, prepared by an experienced chef. It was like being in your own personal restaurant every night (except the one night off - babysitting was included and the children were fed). The children loved the food cooked for them early evening - and the birthday cake when someone had a birthday (and the Easter egg hunt!)
Wine was of high quality - much better than we'd drink at home - and the bar was free, including unlimited (really!) champagne. In fact, as we went at the end of the season, I really looked forward to arriving home early, then heading straight to the hot tub on the deck with a glass (or bottle) of champagne.
The chalet is in Meribel Village, but the exact location was irrelevant really, as there was a minibus available at all times (except between 12 and 1) to take us to the slopes or home, or into Meribel for a shop/swim. This service went on until 1am, though we didn't use it past midnight...
The whole point of a Purple Ski holiday is that you can relax in luxury, with attentive but discreet service, wonderful food and wine, and enjoy the skiing - and apres ski! It certainly works for us, and we will be taking our 4th holiday with them next year!
