Our 4th stay in this wonderful family run hotel. Frederic and Sophie, our superb hosts greet you so well, it is just like returning home. This is a most comfortable hotel in a prestigious position for skiing in and out from hotel as you are very central to all the ski slopes of this expansive area. This fabulous hotel is typically pine-wooded creating a warm atmosphere with open fireplace and good areas for relaxing after a day's skiing/walking. The steam/sauna rooms, together with exercise bike and running machine are just what one needs after skiing, together with relaxation beds and soft music with facilities for green tea. The food in the restaurant is exceptional and full complements to the chefs for their imaginative cuisine. Superb! All the staff are very happy to assist you in your every needs, in particular Noemie, Michael, Vivian, Cyprien, Remy, Aurelian.

Just back from a 4 day, long weekend, trip to Meribel, stayed at le Yeti. It starts with Frederic & Sophie (and of course, Noemie). The service is perfect, you could be at a 5-star hotel in Paris or New York. We had Breakfast included, which was sumptuous and went until 10am, allowing a leisurely start in the beautiful rooms. The views are stunning, the hotel is amazing, and ending the evening with a coffee & Digestiv in front of the fire is unbeatable. Ski-in/Ski-out, and the location at Rond-Point is perfect. The hotel has a well-being area (Sauna & Hamman) with a small exercise area. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful with great views.

We stayed with 4 families in La yeti for a week. It was our 3rd round of weekly skiing in the region and La Yeti is a good alternative for this region. We stayed in a connected room with our 2 daughters , rooms we not very spacious, but well designed and good quality, Modern bathrooms, separate toilet area and balconies in both rooms . We stayed half board, with a open buffet breakfast, not particularly rich in choice but covering basics. Dinners were 3 course + cheese, 2 choices for each course. Food in general was quite good -60Euro pp/pn excl drinks- not particularly cheap! - we would have enjoyed some lighter salad buffet etc at some occasion as same format seems to be tiring after a week but this seems to be a general problem of 4*+ French hotels. The owners were very friendly, nicely connected with guests and very helpful in general - he came and personally picked us from the road as we were stuck by snow.
On the negative side, other facilities in the hotel are quite average, rather small / congested skiing room without any service, top floor TV / conference room is mediocre, Spa treatment were good however facilities were clean, functional but nothing fancy.
Location was a little bit Far to meribel, 10-15 min bus drive, not exactly central but with direct connection to lifts/ pists.

Cher Monsieur,

I'll start with Magali, the Yeti's massage therapist because in many ways Magali embodies the quality, yet highly personal level of service the Yeti offers. Magali saved my aching legs and rendered them serviceable once again the next day on the slopes. Thank you Magali, perfect!

Now onto the hotel itself. Frederic and Sophie, the hotels' owners who met us on arrival, have created a wonderfully warm and personal ambience in their on mountain hotel that gives you the sense of comfort and connection our family looks for when choosing accommodation. It doesn't stop there, the team, all highly capable, also exude warmth and care. The half board did not disappoint either - the variety and culinary skill delivered to our table each night was excellent and beyond our expectations. Breakfast is simple, but our goal was to get out on the slopes and not linger over breakfast.

The accommodation itself is well pitched for the price, comfortable and roomy, with ample storage space for ski gear both in the room and in the boot room (not always a given surprisingly). All this, in combination with the location (ski in/out), provide the perfect Meribel ski holiday base in my view.

The 'patchy' internet in the rooms was somewhat frustrating, meaning if you needed to sneak in some work, the lobby and open area was the only place you could be assured of reliable service. I suspect this may be more of a provider issue, but none the less in this day and age, 'being connected' is a reality for many. A small issue in the scheme of things and not one that would deter us from returning.

Merci, Yeti. We hope to see you all again soon.

One of the best hotels for a ski vacation. Located on the slopes, you just step out of the hotel and start skiing. Exquisite cuisine (Michelin guide). Very cosy with friendly staff. Meribel has some of the best slopes in europe.
