I echo the positive comments but I am not alone in being cross about the room allocation. We drew the short straw with Room 22 with its sloping ceiling and tiny window. We paid the same as friends who had a full terrace and wonderful feature window looking out at the mountains.
We told the reception staff we would post on Trip Advisor but there were no alternatives as the hotel was full.
I was a non-skier (as I had had a knee operation 2 weeks before the holiday). The bending in the room was not good for my knee.
The hotel does not have any other facilities (except a pool table). However, I joined the gym in Meribel. Cost: 10 Euros per session or 45 Euros for the week. It was perfectly adequate and I added in the swimming pool to my week’s ticket although I only used the pool once as the swimming hurt my knee.
The free bus down to Meribel and the free cable cars in the region were wonderful as I was not able to walk too far.
The weather 10-17 March 2013 was great: sunny most days with only 1 bad day with poor visibility. The skiers found the well-used lower piste areas a bit slushy, especially in the late afternoon, but when it got colder, it improved.More
