Stayed here for three nights. Very small hotel, but rooms were very clean, spacious and well appointed. Bed was very comfy. Staff was excellent. You can opt for a room with breakfast only or all meals. We did breakfast but also had dinner one evening at Stubers which was excellent.

This is a nice hotel, cute, half timber look, right on the railroad and Rhein river. The rooms are modest and contain some products and ear plugs to help you with train noise. However, you did not need the plugs since the windows are sound proof. Our first room was tiny and strangely decorated with some paintings of American "afro" culture. Kind of odd. We asked to be switched to a river view and they easily did this on the second night. The housekeepers even moved our bags for us. Bacharach is a small town with cute shops and some sights such as a castle and ruins of a medieval church. It is a nice town to stay in and bike to other charming Rhein towns. It is also easy to get to Frankfurt. The staff here is a delight and we talked at length with 1 young Croatian gentleman. He was a treat to get to know and his English was superb. There is also a river front café for dining, wine drinking etc. The weather was awful, but this would be a great spot for an afternoon snack. The shining star of this hotel is the "half-board" or dinner that you can purchase while you are a guest. It was a four star meal with German specialties sprinkled with artisanal touches. It was one of the best meals of our entire trip. We drank excellent wine from somewhere up the hill, as our waiter pointed out. I highly recommend the half board to give you a taste of the local specialties and to also enjoy the kitchen wizardry of Mr. Stuber. The dinners x 2 were a highlight for us. However, if you are a whiny, demanding eater with a lot of allergies or food issues, there is no choice. You have to eat what they prepare for you. It is an adventure, but there is also a regular menu. However, the guests have to eat a specific 3 course meal selected by chef. It was divine. Go for the food, not the rooms!!

Room Tip: Ask for a river view. Only a few rooms have balconies overlooking the river. The other views are o...

The Rhine hotel was recommended by the tourist information, what a good choice. We had a room overlooking the Rhine, the surprise was the hotel is next to a railway line the trains run past the window. This is not a problem as the windows are quadruple glazed and you can hardly hear anything, even though it is a busy line we slept very well. The room was clean, a good size with a very comfortable bed and nice en suite. The breakfast was fine with a good selection of meats cheese and sweet pastries. We liked the town and hotel so much we decided to stay an extra night to explore it. The walk up to the castle is worth it for the views of the river. It is well placed for exploring the town, getting cruises and the railway station.

Very nice hotel in a very nice little city on the Rhine river. Staff very helpful and friendly; rooms small but clean; more of a B&B feel; great breakfast buffet. Easy walk and access to Rhine river cruises; you can be flexible, get off at any stop and either ride the train back or return by river. We went down river to Boppard, another nice little town.

My mother and I visited Bacharach last week and had a delightful time. The hotel staff was very attentive, Stuber's restaurant food and service great and the rooms were immaculate, basic amenities and comfortable beds. The breakfast service was also excellent. I highly recommend.

Stayed here for our first two nights in Germany. Extremely friendly, helpful staff. More of a B&B feel than hotel. Small but clean rooms, great restaurant that we had dinner one night and breakfast both mornings. Highly recommended if you're staying in Bacharach.

We arrived by train and walked to this hotel. Bacharach is a charming small town and this hotel is located in its center. Our room was super clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. The wifi was free. We only had two nights to stay in Bacharach and we spent most of them on a boat ride and seeing castles up and down the river. We did not eat dinner in their restaurant . I made our reservations 10 months in advance and had requested a room with a river view if possible but we did not get one. Our room faced the town but we still had a view of the castle up on the hill. Bacharach is beautiful and this hotel is charming, we could have spent a few more days there.
