I don't want to repeat all what have been said. Outstanding! Hotel managers looking for improvement should stay a few days at this hotel to learn what is high professionalism in their industry. Nicolleta and her team have a lot to do with it.

Lovely location, panoramic views over the Temple of Apollo and the port. Rooms are lovely and the breakfast is a real treat, a feast of freshly baked savoury and sweet goodies!
We have stayed many times at this family run hotel with a warm welcome and much information about the island and helpful advice. Do not miss a visit to the newly opened Olive Press museum which belongs to this family.

I’m not sure I can say much that hasn’t already been said about Hotel Grotta. The location features a great view as well as convenience to town. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, with decent free wifi.

The breakfast is a veritable feast with a good 20 choices at the buffet.

But the best part about this hotel is it’s staff. Nicoletta and her team are more than helpful. Need a taxi, a rental car, direction, or a recommendation for dinner? Ask one of the staff people and consider it done.

Highly recommended.

This was one of the best hotels in Greece. In fact anywhere. We were treated like family and they could not do enough for us. And that breakfast! Never seen such a large spread. After the first day, we returned to find a carafe of wine made by Poppa! Great touch. Thank you to Nicoletta and Her mum, Maria

I've stayed at many places all over the world, but I felt most taken care of at the Grotta. Nicoletta was incredibly warm and engaged, and always saw to it that any needs we had were taken care of.

Rooms-
Our room faced the bay and had a lovely view, so that was a plus. Otherwise, it was simple, but clean and everything worked. It was quiet, even with the several groups staying there, even when we had our door to the balcony open.

Breakfast-
Dimitris & Nicoletta's mother makes all of the baked goods--incredible! As others have mentioned, your are also welcomed with a drink and pastry (after an easy pick up at the port), and wine in our room.

Access to town-
There's a dirt path that makes access to town easy (5-10 minute walk). If that were not there, it would be quite a bit longer, so hope that nothing is built that gets in the way.

Bottom line--stay there! You really can't go wrong, and it will make your time in Greece even more memorable.

The best breakfasts that we had in Greece. All home made, very tasty and lots of choices.Excellent staff.Great location with easy walk to town with great views of the water.Hotel showing a little bit of wear but nothing major.Hotel was full in the off season and it was easy to see why with the quality of the overall experience.Maybe there are better hotels on the island for the money but I wouldn't want to bet on it.

Spent three nights in this lovely little hotel, over looking the water and close to both the old town and the seaport. Nicoletta and her family couldn't have been more accommodating, from meeting us at the airport, welcoming us with a drink and a homemade cheese pastry, leaving a carafe of homemade wine in our room since we had declined her offer upon our arrival, arranging for our rental car...The joy with which she serves her guests is infectious. The breakfast buffet, with 20 different savory and sweet home baked pastries and frittatas, fruits, those amazing Naxos tomatoes and island cheese was delicious and carried us until dinner. Such a special place!
