Not only did I love Naxos town but Hotel Maroulis was a great choice!Walking distance to all the buzzing restaurants and shops.Everything you need is close by-beach,supermarket and eateries.
Rooms themselves are basic but for the price, worth it.It is a bit tricky manoeuvring sitting on the toilet when it's in the corner..kind of have to step into the shower then sit down!Just a tip:budget rooms are on ground floor which can be quite noisy with people shouting and scooters whizzing by.If you like a bit more quiet, choose elsewhere.

We spent 4 nights at the Maroulis and everything was ok.
The structure is essential (no frills at all) but satisfactory, the hotel location inside the Chora is perfect and Nikos, the hotel manager, is one of the most affable greek men we ever met (and we love greek people, we met a lot of nice people).
I doubt you can find something better for this money, highly reccomended.

After we booked we received an email from the owner asking us what time our ferry arrived, so that he could pick us up. We thought it was a nice touch that the hotel contacted us. Nikos is a lovely guy and gave us a great welcome. The hotel is in a perfect location, a quiet street, just a short stroll from the town's restaurants and attractions. The rooms are excellent and it was great to have a little balcony too.

We spent there the last three days of our vacation and I have to say was one of the best accomodation we ever had. They gave us free transfer from the port and back to the port in our last day. Also we could leave our luaggages there after check out with no fees. The room was very clean, had private balcony and every day somebody was comming to clean it. Also you could use the shared kitchen wich was fully equipated and it had a wonderful big terace full with flowers.
The hotel is located in a very quiet area in an alley with flowers, a very nice enviroment The beach was within 5 min walking, there were markets everywhere. Also the port and the area arround it was in a nice walking distance. We had a woderful time in there. Also Nikos, the owner, is a very nice person, always ready to help and very friendly.
For sure we will stay there again in our next visit in Naxos.
