Xenia has been constructed in a long unused building on a corner just off the Coronis Hotel in Naxos port. Newly opened, it has been built and is operated by the 2 brothers, Manolis and George, who own Hotel Coronis. I have visited Naxos a dozen times, and have known the owners for more than 20 years, so I can vouch for their friendliness, professionalism and service orientation. Rates are aproximately the same, but while you pay for the port view at Coronis, you pay for the ultra modern amenities at Xenia. There are 18 rooms on one floor, a floor up from street level. Rooms are large and feature double paned glass to block out steet noise from the shopping and restaurant street below, plush, full, U.S. style double mattresses, flat screen TV with satellite channels, large or small balconey, depending on the room, and modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers. If you prefer to be in the port, rather than at the town's St. George beach, this is definitely an excellent choice. At the time of my visit the bar and breakfast facilities were not up and running, but the lobby is modern, with a glass enclosed view to the rear shopping street and ice cream shop, and looks to be first class when the work is finished. This place was modern luxury at reasonable Greek prices.
