Hotel Xenia is a brand new hotel in Naxos city. It is an all year open hotel. The rooms are bigger and more modern than most other. The entire decoration have a light modern look. The doors are fitted with electromagnetic locks and every room has a flat screen TV with BBC-news in english in addition to all the usual Greek programs. The beds are of a new generation, not the usual hard Greek beds, but comfortable semi-soft. The bathroom is fitted with a real shower cabinet with sliding glass doors (no water all over the floor), shower both from the roof and a hand-shower. Naturally a hair dryer and the normal amenities. The wi-fi signal is weak in the rooms far from reception. In some rooms you will catch a signal from nearby hotel Coronis, run by the same management. Staying there in december we enjoyed the heating capasity of the individual controlled AC. You walk to the ferry in 5 minutes, and go to the airport in less than10 minutes by taxi. You find all you need of restaurants and bars within a few steps.

Room Tip: All rooms are in one floor, 102 furthest away from reception, but with a nice harbour view.

This hotel is in very good condition and the stuff very friendly.Only negative is that the wi fi signal is not strong enough for the rooms and that because of being in the center of Naxos is not so quiet. But you can t have everything. So in general is a very good not expensive hotel.

Xenia has been constructed in a long unused building on a corner just off the Coronis Hotel in Naxos port. Newly opened, it has been built and is operated by the 2 brothers, Manolis and George, who own Hotel Coronis. I have visited Naxos a dozen times, and have known the owners for more than 20 years, so I can vouch for their friendliness, professionalism and service orientation. Rates are aproximately the same, but while you pay for the port view at Coronis, you pay for the ultra modern amenities at Xenia. There are 18 rooms on one floor, a floor up from street level. Rooms are large and feature double paned glass to block out steet noise from the shopping and restaurant street below, plush, full, U.S. style double mattresses, flat screen TV with satellite channels, large or small balconey, depending on the room, and modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers. If you prefer to be in the port, rather than at the town's St. George beach, this is definitely an excellent choice. At the time of my visit the bar and breakfast facilities were not up and running, but the lobby is modern, with a glass enclosed view to the rear shopping street and ice cream shop, and looks to be first class when the work is finished. This place was modern luxury at reasonable Greek prices.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice. The main choice would be between a large balconey with room for table and c...
