“Best way to experience the Greek Islands!”

Captain Panos Sailing
Reviewed 13 October 2013 via mobile

Captain Panos was and excellent guide. He took us to as many islands that he could fit in for the day without making us feel rushed. Was happy to keep circling around to play with the dolphins and looked liked he was genuinely enjoying himself as he did so.

The whole day was great and one of the highlights for our whole trip in Greece, especially when we got to sail the ship ourselves (with his guidance of course).

Definitely worth making the time to do it on your next trip to Greece.

We had a very relaxing day on the boat. The trip is not exactly cheap - we paid 50 EUR per person, but we felt it was worth it. Even though the destinations of the trip where fun (underwater tunnel, cave), this trip is more about being on the boat than the destination. We did not have much time to explore the island where we stopped for lunch. Being on the boat was very relaxing. We were about 14 tourists on the boat, the sailsmen were very friendly, and happy to follow around some dolphins.

What a great way to spend the last day of our holiday on Naxos . Not only did we have the opportunity to swim in caves , snorkel and relax on deck listening to the sound of the waves but we also saw dolphins and a sea turtle !!
Panos and Spiros were great hosts and I would highly recommend this trip

I can not more highly recommend a day excursion. After reading the recommendations on Trip Advisor we choose to put aside a day for this trip. In fact due to high winds the previous day (Capt. Panos didn't sail) we had to delay our departure from Naxos by a day just so we could. We couldn't have been happier. First off the Captain and Spiros have wonderful engaging personalities. You meet people from all over on board and get to experience great activities such as swimming into a cave, jumping off heights into the crystal clear waters, visiting a small town for lunch, swimming in remote coves, etc. Spiros is right there with you with his underwater camera recording everything (at the end they give you a free cd with copies of everything!). Captain Panos also somehow has such a keen eye that even while he was sailing picked out a seal surfacing and a wild white goat on a deserted island. We just loved it, trust me you will too! Of all the activities on Naxos, renting a car and driving most of the inland roads towards Mt. Zeus and on to Apollon and back, and the sunset horseback riding, this trip really gave you the greatest appreciation of the beauty of the Greek Islands. A Big Thank You to Captain Panos & Spiros from Vera & Allan!

Captain Panos and Spiros did a great job looking after us. They took us round the coast to the lesser Cyclades via a deep cave where we swam by floodlight and two other places where we could swim and snorkel. In between we sailed with all sails set. A perfect day and very good value!
