The moment we arrived, we wanted to leave... our room was dirty. We booked the hotel through venere.com based on their reviews and I see now the reviews aren't so bad here either. Unfortunately our bathroom was filthy and for the amount of money spent for the evening, it could of been cleaner. There was someone else's hair on the bathroom floor not to mention fleas inside our room. When I mentioned about the hair- the manager never had someone go clean the room. Instead when we checked out, he deducted 10euro from our bill although I would of preferred someone to clean the bathroom instead. Unfortunately when we had breakfast, the table and dishes reflected the bathroom. Just dirty.
The website seemed misleading because they posted a swimming pool and spa?
On the upside, the hotel is beautiful and has the potential to be incredible if the staff seemed more lively and the place cleaned.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. Everyone is so friendly and kind. The view is so amazing and beautiful. I would give this hotel a five star review. Beautiful rooms and excellent breakfast and dinner and Also a lovely terrace with great views of the surrounding area. If you are looking for a place to stay give this hotel a try I promise you won't regret it . There is just one downfall and that is the only wifi is down in the lobby.
It is also the perfect spot to start the walks of the surrounding area.

This is a wonderful gem of a hotel located in a small mountain village near the Amalfi Coast. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable, with most rooms having nice views of the surrounding mountains. We stayed here as a part of an organized walking tours. The hotel also has a very good restaurant where we had two of our dinners. Within walking distance is a couple of bars and small grocery stores (Alimentari), as well as a bus stop for transportation to other areas of Amalfi. A couple miles nearby is the main town of Agerola, where there are other shops and restaurants.

Stayed at this friendly family-run hotel or 2nights as part of a hiking tour, otherwise we would not have found it. From the time our group checked in it was obvious that this was something special. We ate in the restaurant both nights and found the food very special. We were given a choice of a couple of dishes which we chose before the meal time. The host took pains to ensure we were well looked after. The members of the party with special food requirements were well catered for, even the gluten free person, in Italy, no less! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were even given a sample of two house-made liquors to try. Breakfasts were simple but typical of the region. The charming room was quite large and catered adequately for our needs. The bathroom was clean and all the equipment worked. Free wifi is available in the lobby, but not in the rooms. Our room was at the front, with a view into the gardens opposite. Shutters kept out the light and noise. All in all, a most pleasant stay in a lovely area

I enjoyed the hospitality of the family who own this very comfortable hotel. The room was very comfortable with very efficient housekeeping. The staff/family at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, even to giving lifts to the start of the walks. Local transport is very close and inexpensive to travel to Amalfi. The restaurant is large with a great view, there is also an outdoor terrace. The food was good, breakfast simple but ok.
Great location for walks especially the Walk of the Gods.
I would visit again.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel had WiFi access, bedroom at the front is quiet due to shutters

I was booked at this place in San Lazzaro by Macs Adventure travel as part of a 7 day Amalfi coast hike. Otherwise, I'd have never been in this town, much less this hotel. The town is located up in the hills of the Amalfi region and is not a tourist destination, by and large. However, if you're up this way, stay at this fine hotel or, at the least, eat in it's restaurant. The host, hwo's name I'm struggling to remember - not coming up with it - is very gracious, such that he drove me to a neighboring town to get a massage after I complained that my legs ached from hiking! How's that for service?!

This hotel provided a very convenient base for walking days and exploration of some of the famous trails and towns of the Amalfi area. This is a glorious area which we enjoyed immensely. Local bus services pass the door providing relatively easy access to and from towns in the area and therefore facilitating walking trips [Pathway of the Gods etc] near places such as Bomerano, plus access to key towns like Amalfi and Positano.
Risorgimento Hotel was a comfortable tourist class hotel. Staff were caring, positive and attentive. Our moderate sized room was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs. The bathroom was spacious, clean and supplied with ample towels. The ‘dead’ hair dryer we reported on our first evening produced a new one for our use very quickly, though we did note that the old one wasn’t removed from the wall during our stay.
We are a little concerned that all room keys are easily accessible to people entering the lobby as the reception area was frequently unattended. We can understand that it is convenient for guests to be able to access their room keys but so could other people.
We were travelling with a small group and good group dinners [including gnocchi and swordfish] were served on two nights, managed with care and professionalism by the busy staff. Breakfast was standard Continental with no hot food options seemingly available, one cereal, yoghurt, bread and croissants.
This is an honest, warm hotel; we would stay again.
