“the best place to stay in Almalfi Coast”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

We had a fantastic 2 night stay in Miramare B&B, 700m above the sea level, over looking the beautiful Almalfi Coast, perfect location. A beautiful house with stunning surroundings, including the view of the Almalfi coast, we were greeted by the AMAZING Lilliana the hostess with the mostess...Such a big character, made us feel at home straight away. She showed us to our room, named "gioia" , the room was beautiful and clean (rooms are cleaned daily). Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal... freshly baked cakes, fruit, cereal, croissants and home made custard cream. Tea, coffee and juices. All together was a great stay...one small down side is that Lilliana and family dont speak english. However you shouldnt have any problem communicating in other ways. Also the journey down to Almalfi coast takes 50minutes by bus or car, which is a beautiful journey. However, buses dont go very regularly so make sure you check the timetable first. (in main reception) Thank you to Lilliana and family...Dario and Abi

Stayed for 4 nights, with beautiful ocean views and very close to the bus stop for access to Amalfi. Family were very friendly with one son working at a restaurant in the town (which we dinned at, yum) and one who works at the b&b, who even gave us a bottle of his home made wine.
Cheap prices in the town of Agerola but be prepared for the bus ride up and down the mountain (1 hour approx). In a car though its lots of fun!!

We stayed in agerola in July. We were 2 families with 2 kids (3n5yrs) n had booked 2 rooms. The view is breathtaking.
The small farm is lovingly maintained by franchesco n his family. There r many animals on the farm like a beautiful white horse, rabbits, doggies, birds n sheeps. Our kids had such a good time there that they weren't ready to step out.
Franchesco knows English v.well so it make bookings n general communication v.easy.
The best part was Lilian's bfast spread. U can see the efforts put in by her n her hubby to make each bfast a delight for u.
Freshly baked crossaints, cakes, fruits fresh from the farm n Lilian's cheerful company seems to be a perfect way to start the day. Tiramisu made by Lilian's husband was out of this world.
We had a great time. Special thanks to u all for making our stay so memorable.

June 8-14 2013: Wow! what a place,Miramare has the most spectacular views overlooking the Amalfi coastline, far from being isolated you have the best access by Car or Bus down to the famous cliff-clinging villages or back over to Naples.
A family home built by Dad & Mum to a beautiful and high standard, Lilliana makes you most welcome and presents a fabulous food array for breakfast including wonderful home produced specialities. Mum's English is limited but we had so much fun together making each other understood, and for back-up (Web-master)Francesco eldest son would be turfed out of late working bed, to interpret.
A lovely place to stay, a lovely family and brilliant memories for this part of our holiday.

Easy to book direct with the owners direct on the internet. Francesco speaks good English so booking was simple.
What a find!!!
We were given a very warm welcome by Liliana and Francesco on our arrival and shown to our beautiful room opening onto the garden and small terrace. We were shown where breakfast would be served the following morning, on the top floor, and the view from the balcony was breathtaking looking out onto the Gulf of Salerno. The views alone are worth the visit but Miramare offers so much more.
Breakfast was a real treat with prosciutto, cheese, cakes, jam and much more, all made by Liliana who speaks little English but makes up for it by speaking with her hands in typical Italian fashion.
Our stay was perfect and the region absolutely stunning with fantastic walks, fantastic views, fantastic food and of course fantastic people.
Would loved to have stayed longer.
You must ask Francesco to show you around his garden. A real treat as we were leaving was being shown the view down into Amalfi from his cliff top garden. The animals were a surprise too.

Room Tip: We were in "Gioia" meaning Joy and it very much lived up to its name. If the other rooms a...

B&B: Family-run place with three individually decorated rooms. Liliana, Alfredo and her son Francesco will welcome you like a family member. Francesco speaks good English, Liliana makes up her lack of knowledge of the Shakespearian language with tons of Italian charm. Try her homemade Italian cakes and tiramisù. Grazie mille per tutto!

Location: Great views fromt the balcony over the amalfi coast. Perfect starting point for the Paths of God and the Valle delle ferriere. Off the main tourist track. If you don't have a car mind the 50 min bus ride from Amalfi up to Agerola. There are quite a few buses in the morning, the last one at night leaves at 9 p.m. in Amalfi.

We stayed at Miramare B&B for three nights. Our hosts, Liliana and her son Francesco were so kind and welcoming. We arrived after dark and Liliana was there to greet us. She brought us to our room and directed us to the on site free parking. We went for dinner in Agerola that evening. Lilana arranged a reservation for us and drew us a map.
We woke the next morning to an exquisite view and a very delicious breakfast. Lilana's cakes were sooooo good (my fav the tiramisu). Francesco sliced us homemade speck (which we had with homemade cheese and fresh biscotti di grano di Agerola). Everything they served us was from their own garden. We were even given fruits to take as a snack. If you have a chance go out and see the garden/animals and the view...it's amazing!
We explained to our hosts the activities we wanted to do... The walk of the gods from Bomerano to Positano and a visit to Capri. They explained everything. We were given exact directions to the start of the trail. Information about buses and they reserved a tour of Capri for us. Lilana even arranged for me to get my nails done!!!
We couldn't have asked for more. We did not want to leave. Although when the visit did come to an end Francesco left us with a wonderful bottle of his homemade wine. I just can't describe in words the experience. We loved staying here. The panoramic views are incredible. We will definitely return and encourage anyone wanting to visit the Amalfi coast to stay at B&B miramare.
For a close dinner in town you should also visit Due Torri ristorante for dinner. The food was molto buono and the staff were amazing!
