“Torno a Minori”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

To the tune of Torna a Sorrento, this is what you will be humming day after day after dining at Antonio's Bar Midnight Sun.
Here is an excellent reason to come back and enjoy the warm hospitality, delicious cuisine and my new friend Antonio! I salute him for his honesty with tourists, generosity with complimentary treats, hospitality and wonderful renditions of the old Neapolitan songs he sings while accompanied on his mandolin.
Much praise has been given here and rightfully so about his wonderfully prepared dishes many of which I and my companions have enjoyed day after day in our six day stay here in Minori.
I would return in a heartbeat just to taste once more his Prosciutto e Melone,
Linguini al Limone, Torta di Limone and his Limoncello! He and his family are very good at what they do and I felt so fortunate to have dined here and you will too!
When it is finally time to depart you do so quite reluctantly for the kind of welcoming you'll find here in Minori at Antonio's Bar Midnight Sun and the wonderful food here is rare indeed!
Thank you very much!

“Friendly and fine food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013

The Midnight Sun is an Minori institution, and no wonder. Antonio, the manager-headwaiter, is one of the friendliest people in town. We had one simple meal there; we both had the lemon linguini, the local specialty, and the excellent house white wine. Both were perfect. So was the limoncello. Throughout the rest of our stay, Antonio gave us directions and recommendations. Nice guy, nice place.

“Just beautiful!”

We were recommended to try the Linguini Limon at this cute little restaurant, in close-by Minori. And, we are so glad we did! We had to return for a second dose on our last night on the Amalfi Coast, it was so delicious! The maitre d' was charming and very friendly. We were even treated to a complimentary glass of his own Limoncello! Thank you very much!

“The best service ever, and yes the food is great too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

We spent part of our honeymoon in the lovely little village of Minori. It quickly turned in to a daily routine for us to enjoy an icecream and a cappuccino outside Antonio's little coffeeshop after a long day at the beach. Several of our six nights in Minori we also had dinner at the Midnight Sun Bar. The restaurant doesn't seem very special at a first glance, but the food is lovely, the local wine from Ravello is affordable and delicous, and the service is fantastic. The owner Antonio and his family who all work at the restaurant are genuinely nice and interested in his guests and tipped us off about excursions, points of interest and other restaurants to try. One of the nights he noticed that we seemed a bit cold so he offered us jackets without us even asking! Everything we ate here was lovely, but make sure you don't miss the amazing mozarella cheese (much more flavour than any other mozarella we have tried) and try the profiteroles for dessert!

“Highlight of our Europe trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

Midnight Sun was recommended to us by our accommodation. We went on our first night and were blown away, not only by the food - which was excellent - but by the service and warmth of the place. By the end of the evening we were chatting to most of the other guests while Antonio played the guitar for us all. This says so much about a restaurant, and was the reason we ate there every night of our 6-night stay. The food was great, and we tried just about everything; the pizzas, the pasta, risotto, lasagne and even the hamburger and chips when we craved something different. The limoncello, desserts and espresso were also top notch and everything was very well priced. Antonio and his wife were welcoming and friendly but not obtrusively so. It was not just the best dining experience we had in the Amalfi coast but in all of our 3 weeks in Italy, and dare I say our 10 weeks in Europe. We could not fault Midnight Sun and highly recommend giving it a try. You will be back again and again!
