The Villa Laura is great: it's small, relatively quiet, clean, and simple. Laura is wonderful and very helpful. Having a kitchen is great and there's a grocery store two minutes down the road. Everything is close to the train line in Ascea but the Villa is far enough away that the sound is not bothersome. There was an obnoxious disco somewhere in town that played music late into the night on weekends and it was audible from the Villa but...that's Italy! I don't think it would have been quieter in a different hotel. It's a 25 minute walk from the train station so if you're planning on doing a lot of traveling to other towns a car is recommended. It's also a little ways from the center of Ascea. But it's a great homebase if you're traveling the area. Would definitely stay again!
