“Absolutley Amazing!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2010

We will certainly return here. The hotel is situted in incredible settings and the views across the valley to Ravello are just breathtaking. We have never stayed somewhere like this, it just took our breath away.

Not only was the setting amazing, but the Family that run the hotel were so kind and helpful. They bent over backwards to help us with lost bags, late arrivals, finding good places to eat and even parking tickets. I would like to say a big thank you to Lorenzo and Enzo, we promise next time we come to stay we will be less trouble ;)

The room was clean and comfortable, it featured a large balcony that offered great views of the surrounding mountains.

I could go on for a long time but the bottom line is that the hotel, setting and people that run it are top rate. If you want 5 Star opulant luxury then maybe this isnt the place for you, but if youwant to stay in a hotel that is in a stuning location where the staff bend over backwards to help and accomdate you then I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from a week at Villa Guiseppina. Superb views of Ravello from balcony/pool/breakfast terrace. Very quiet location but not far from several small towns. Fantastic walks around area are definately worthwhile. The family owners were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. This is really a good B&B with evening meal available at local village restaurant at very competitive price! Only complaint would be very noisy plumbing - we could hear neighbours using bathroom and at 7.00am plates clanking in preparation for breakfast on floor above. Despite the hotel having a bar, it was not well used so lacked atmosphere. If you are thinking of booking at this hotel, you might as well book direct as we had no contact whatsoever from Citalia (Thomson) rep so were very much left to our own devices. We had, fortunately, booked for classical concert in garden of Villa Rufolo, Ravello which was a wonderful experience. Although driving in this area is not easy, would recommend hire of a small car as location is quite remote. However, the bus service is good if you are not planning to go too far.

Good food and their own excellent house wine. Dad, Mum, son and all the staff were so welcoming. We got to see & taste lorenzo's small personal Wine cellar, see and taste chef making his pasta and breakfast on your own terrace is a fantastic treat. Scala is close to all thats good in the Amalfi coast without the crowds. We had a holiday to remember

This a lovely hotel, great value for money and the service is fantastic! The family who run this hotel really know how to make their guests feel welcome and in terms of service would give a 5* hotel a run for their money. I work in travel and have stayed in more hotels than I care to remember and rarely do I say " I'd come back here again" but without any doubt we will be returning to La Margherita. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views and the food was wonderful. If you are looking for luxury then this may not be the place for you but what makes this hotel truely special is the relaxed ambience, beautiful views and the wonderful hospitality. Would highly recommend!

This hotel offers fantastic views over Ravello. The roof top restarant offers spectacular food and breathtaking views at reasonble prices. The friendly, family run atmosphere makes for a very enjoyable stay. We would have no hesitations in recommending this to or friends

Villa Giuseppina was a lovely hotel with amazing views across the cliff to Ravello. Absolutely quiet and hidden away it makes for a perfect place to relax. The rooms are fairly large, clean and the staff were very friendly, giving us info on buses, trips and local resturants - all of which served excellent food.
The hotel resturant is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel itself and serves good food, but there are a range of resturants in Scala and Ravello - we ate in a different place each evening and had no complaints. The hotel bar which is open for lunch near the pool serves excellent teaditional Italian food till 3pm as well.
The pool is brilliant - cleaned every night and open in the evening when the hotel have a pool cocktail party!
We had a lovely relaxing stay and could have stayed for another week, can't praise the staff enough!

Nice hotel with pretty ok rooms. Lovely view and a relaxing surrounding. The walls are however pretty thin so you here your neighbors pretty much. The breakfast is continental with pretty high charges for extras (like € 1.50 for a yogurt). There are a lot of stairs and even though there is an elevator it doesn't reach the top of the hotel. The pool is quit deep at the shallowest part (around 1.6 m). Seems to have a lot of Danish visitors.

There aren't very many restaurants in the vicinity, the hotel restaurant was like 200 meters from the hotel and then there is a great one on the Scala town square. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, most staff is helpful but don't expect any tourist service, like booking of tours or restaurant tips because you probably know more than some of the staff. Lorenzo in the bar seem to be the guy to talk to if you want to know stuff.
Note that the bus to Ravello goes about every hour so communications aren't great. Buses to Amalfi leaves more often.
