Up high in the mountains, this is a lovely hotel with everything you need at your fingertips. Local cuisine, bar, pool, shop next door, gelato stall- it's perfect! The hotel rooms are dated and a little dark (the one we stayed in was anyway) but as soon as you walk out onto the balcony you are struck by stunning views over the mountains and Salerno and the sound of Abbey Bells from the churches below. The staff are nice, they are perfectly efficient and do things with a smile, although they are not that friendly. The pool is lovely with stunning mountain views surrounding it, but it is a little cold and probably has a shortage of space around the side for sunbeds. The evening and day time food is delicious, an extensive menu and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. It might be a little pricey for some.
The only thing that we did find was that, it did feel a bit clicky. There are a lot of other (mainly Italian guests) that we suspect had been there for some time. So we did feel a little bit like outsiders, but I'm sure if we had stayed for longer this would not have been the case. Overall, I can highly recommend this accommodation.More
