The hotel is 20 mins down the hill from Panza. It isn´t crowded and noisy so you will get the real peace. The house is a bit dated from the outside but don´t worry about it.
The owners were very helpful and gave us the information we needed. Although we didn´t pay for the sea view we had some. The room was enormous. The rooms downstair don´t have the airconditioner but it isn´t a big problem if you ask for a ventilator. There was a fridge in our room and each room had a big balcony. you are given clean towels every day. The breakfast starts at 8,00 and you have a wide choice (white and brown bread, rolls, yoghurt, marmelade, honey, cornflakes, cheese, ham, salami, fruit, vegetables, cakes, juice, water, tea, coffee machine etc.). If you want to have dinner in the hotel you pay 20 euros per person. (try at least once). You can have something to eat at lunchtime (until 2,30 p.m) - salad (6,50 euros), some pasta (7 euros) etc.. If you want to get to the beach there is SORGETO (200 m and then 200 steps) or ST. ANGELO (go to Panza and take the bus to St.ANGELO beach)

Stayed for 2 weeks at the Torre Sant'Angelo and had a wonderful restful holiday. The hotel is down a quiet road from Panza in a very lovely position near the sea with spectacular views of Sant'Angelo. The offer of transportation up to Panza is offered by the family to the catch the local buses which provide a great service round the island.

The hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble - Umberto and his family helped us with our lack of Italian and made us feel at home as we were the only English guests. All the friendly staff and family gave the hotel a very friendly family atmosphere.

We stayed half board which we would recommend as the food in the restaurant was excellent especially the fresh sea-food dishes and pasta dishes .Dining on the outdoor terrace at night with views to die for was one of our highlights!! The buffet breakfast was very good and seemed to be available all morning - no rush !

Our room a " Dream room " had the same spectacular view of Sant'Angelo from our own terrace and was immaculately cleaned with fresh linen and had much needed air-conditioning.
The pool area is wonderful with 3 pools - cold, spa and a thermal pool and a shaded area much needed in the hot days we experienced.

We had a wonderful holiday at The Residence Torre Sant' Angelo and would definately recommend the hotel and can't wait to return!

THe Hotel Torre Sant'Angelo provides the ideal setting for a magical breakaway! The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the most part of the island, the views are absolutely breathtaking. Everything is impeccably tidy and the family that runs it is more than helpful. Don't miss the hot spring that runs into the ocean at the beach just below the hotel - about 200m. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool both hot and cold, and the owners take pride in keeping it clean.
Just up the road is a ristorante, La Rondinella, that should be avoided at all costs! Rather have meals at the hotel. Lots of lovely walks, if you don't have transport.

Torre Sant Angelo provided a real retreat for us on the beautiful island of Ischia. It has stunning views out to sea and a tranquility that made for a peaceful holiday. The rooms were clean and spacious and we loved having a private terrace overlooking the sea so even though it rained, we were happy! As regular visitors to Ischia we had previously overlooked the village of Panza but loved the nearby thermal bay of Sorgeto so this time we decided to stay somewhere nearer. Umberto and his family and staff made us feel so welcome and helped us out whenever we needed a lift into Panza or some directions! The food here is also amazing - you can eat delicious pasta and fish, seafood as well as great meat dishes here, but unlike a lot of other places, you can also stay healthy and have a lovely large salad with enough to keep you going! Try the home made chilli grappa if you're feeling adventurous!

Overall a fantastic place to stay and unbeatable value.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the sea view rooms if you can.

this family run hotel is set in a stunnung location, the room are spacious and clean, the food absolutely delicious.
Me and my wife had our wedding reception there and the staff was very helpful and looked after us and our guests (many of whom also stayed at the hotel) brilliantly.
The location is not the most convenient if you don't have a car but a minibus is always on call to provide free shuttle service to the nearest village.
All in all our experience was absolutely superb and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

We have just spent 14 wonderful days at the Torre Sant'Angelo having found and booked it on the internet. We wanted a quiet relaxing location without to much action as my wife is recovering from a broken hip and we got it here.
This is a family run hotel and I can't thank Umberto and his family and staff for all their help, friendliness and assistance. Apart from Umberto there's not much English spoken here but we liked that and everyone got by.
The location is quite remote and if you use public transport from the ferry ports you will be faced with a long walk down a steep and winding hill. Taxis are available at both ports, Ischia Porto at a cost of 45 - 55 euro or the closer Forio 15 - 25 euro be aware boats are less frequent to Forio and more affected (delayed/cancelled) by the weather.
Once resident at the hotel however it is usually easy to get a lift up the hill from staff to where the excellent buses run.
If you take your car to Ischia (or rent one) there is limited free parking at the hotel requiring you to leave your keys at reception to prevent any obstruction of other guests / deliveries.
First impressions of this hotel from the road are that it is somewhat run down and dirty but go through the gates and you find tiled floors and typical Italian painted walls that are shiney and clean. The reception area is small but accesible and includes a tour desk and free internet access if you don't have your own wifi device (note my wifi only worked in the reception/lounge and restuarant areas and not in our room or on the restaurant terrace). There is a small TV louge divided from the large restaurant by a well stoked and well kept bar.
The restaurant is immaculate and has a terrace with views to die for and you will be offered the 15 euro per head half board option on arrival. Our Advice is take it, the food is superb (local dishes cooked with fresh local produce) as is the service and having tried some local restaurants during our trip we could not find better and certainly found worse for much more money. Breakfast is buffet style and almost never ending.
Our room was immaculately clean with a great wetroom and was cleaned everyday including fresh linen. We had a large private terrace with a shaded pation and open sunbathing area and almost as good a view as the main terrace.
Our room was adequately furnished but if we had any critisism of the hotel it would be the beds. Although we slept well for a few nights, by day 8 the matresses were showing their true shape and it's not the best.
The three pools, cold, spa and thermal are great and located on a sunny terrace surrounded by foliage with plenty of shade for sun shy brits.
Add to all this a few surprises from Umberto (fireworks display, dolphins in the bay) and his lovely 13 month old daughter Julia and we woulod recommend the Torre Sant'Angelo to anyone.

This was our favourite hotel in all of Italy. Owners were very helpful and the place was immaculate. Steps from the natural seawater hotsprings and did I mention the view?? Homemade and inexpensive meals for dinner. Loved every minute. It is a more remote place in comparison to other motels if you are looking for more "excitement" but perfect if you want peace and quiet. A short walk from the Panza bus stop.

Pools and hottubs were saltwater.
