This year we spent half the trip (Oct 15th for 12 days) in the spacious top floor apartment and the rest in the flat underneath, which had a small second bedroom. We were worried about not having the large private balcony included in the top flat but it wasn't a problem as we used the sundeck with direct access into the sea instead. We also had concerns about a mid October holiday but the weather was as warm as usual and we only got wet once or twice. Quieter than usual thanks to the later date but in all we enjoyed the trip as much as any and the food at the family restaurant La Casereccia was better than ever with a new menu adding some excellent new dishes. Thank you once again for looking after us so well Amerigo, and also to your lovely family for welcoming us back like true friends. See you in May!

Room Tip: Top floor has 3 balconies but books up early. The one under is a good substitute.

Great location, Forio within walking distance. Private access to sea, spacious rooms (yes it helped we were upgraded to the 2bed apartment with roof terrace). Nothing was too much trouble for Amerigo, he collected us from Forio port, drove us to his family's restaurant (which was also superb) and even drove us to Ischia Town when we left (unfortunately couldn't get the hydrofoil we needed from Forio). Absolutely wonderful :-)

We chose the hotel on responses of tourists. On the website there was a lot of good words about the hotel and the host and we wonder if this is really so. Our expectations have been met! We stayed in the hotel at the end of September. The weather and the sea were wonderful. The hotel is not big, very comfortable situated not far from the centre of Forio and port. The Responsive and kind Amerigo takes you to port, Negombo and Poseidon gardens at a convenient time for you for free. The rooms are very clean and have everything necessary for living. The hotel has own platform with sun beds and umbrellas and bar with drinks and fruit. In the evenings Amerigo takes guests in a family restaurant Italian cuisine where are all tasty and inexpensive. We hope to go back there again!

We have just returned from our 6th holiday in La Rotonda sul Mare - that in itself must say something! As always Amerigo, his family and staff looked after us perfectly. Always on hand to answer questions, offer advice and to give us lifts to restaurants, ferries and local thermal spas - nothing was too much trouble. Amerigo will also transport you to their family restaurant, La Cassericia (Mama's) serving wonderful home-cooked (and home-grown) food.

We once again rented the top floor apartment with its own roof-top terrace with wonderful views over the sea and to the local town of Forio. Steps from all the apartments lead directly onto the decking and into the sea which, at this time of year is beautifully warm. The apartments are basic but have everything you need for a Meditteranean holiday and are cleaned daily by the lovely Liliana. Amerigo has kayaks etc for guests' use and a cafe serving lunches and wonderful Italian coffee. See you next year Amerigo!

Awesome view!! (we were at the last floor appartment which has its own terrace), clean and functionnal accomodation, very nice sea deck as well.
I came with 4 friends and we were all treated like princesses. Thanks to the gentle Amerigo and his staff for the services.
What I appreciated the most from them :
- picking us up when and where we wanted
- beeing available at any time when we needed information and advice
- their smile
- their fun
If you come, do not miss to eat at the restaurant of Amerigo's mum.
Michèle

Room Tip: Panoramic view at the top floor appartment.

Just returned from a superb stay at La Rotunda. Amerigo and his staff made this a wonderful, relaxing experience. Nothing was too much bother and everyone went out of their way to ensure that this was a holiday to remember. The self-catering facilities were excellent (cleaned on a daily basis); the location was perfect and the views, in particular the breathtaking sunsets, were stunning. We would not hesitate to recommend La Rotunda to friends and family and we certainly plan to return.

Our trip to and stay at Amerigo's gem on the Med was awesome, so awesome that we are already planning a return visit. The hotel is more of an apartment with kitchen and washer and was ideally situated on the sea, a short walk from the charming town of Forio and directly beneath (as in down the mountain from) the restaraunt owned and operated by Amerigo's mother, father and two brothers. The drive to and from the restaraunt from La Rotunda were priceless and one of many hightlights from our trip. His brother Giusepe also has a hotel above the restaraunt and we were ferried to and from this property as well to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Amerigo was accomodating to our every request, and is genuinely interested in his guests and their happiness. Add his family to this and you have a wonderful group of people.

Room Tip: Any room chosen is a good one.
