We stayed here in July 2013 so this is a little overdue but we are still talking about the great time we had at La Rotonda Sul Mare! Amerigo and his family did everything they could to make sure we had the best time during our stay. I couldn't recommend it any stronger and we will definitely be back!!

This year we spent half the trip (Oct 15th for 12 days) in the spacious top floor apartment and the rest in the flat underneath, which had a small second bedroom. We were worried about not having the large private balcony included in the top flat but it wasn't a problem as we used the sundeck with direct access into the sea instead. We also had concerns about a mid October holiday but the weather was as warm as usual and we only got wet once or twice. Quieter than usual thanks to the later date but in all we enjoyed the trip as much as any and the food at the family restaurant La Casereccia was better than ever with a new menu adding some excellent new dishes. Thank you once again for looking after us so well Amerigo, and also to your lovely family for welcoming us back like true friends. See you in May!

Room Tip: Top floor has 3 balconies but books up early. The one under is a good substitute.

Great location, Forio within walking distance. Private access to sea, spacious rooms (yes it helped we were upgraded to the 2bed apartment with roof terrace). Nothing was too much trouble for Amerigo, he collected us from Forio port, drove us to his family's restaurant (which was also superb) and even drove us to Ischia Town when we left (unfortunately couldn't get the hydrofoil we needed from Forio). Absolutely wonderful :-)

We chose the hotel on responses of tourists. On the website there was a lot of good words about the hotel and the host and we wonder if this is really so. Our expectations have been met! We stayed in the hotel at the end of September. The weather and the sea were wonderful. The hotel is not big, very comfortable situated not far from the centre of Forio and port. The Responsive and kind Amerigo takes you to port, Negombo and Poseidon gardens at a convenient time for you for free. The rooms are very clean and have everything necessary for living. The hotel has own platform with sun beds and umbrellas and bar with drinks and fruit. In the evenings Amerigo takes guests in a family restaurant Italian cuisine where are all tasty and inexpensive. We hope to go back there again!

We have just returned from our 6th holiday in La Rotonda sul Mare - that in itself must say something! As always Amerigo, his family and staff looked after us perfectly. Always on hand to answer questions, offer advice and to give us lifts to restaurants, ferries and local thermal spas - nothing was too much trouble. Amerigo will also transport you to their family restaurant, La Cassericia (Mama's) serving wonderful home-cooked (and home-grown) food.

We once again rented the top floor apartment with its own roof-top terrace with wonderful views over the sea and to the local town of Forio. Steps from all the apartments lead directly onto the decking and into the sea which, at this time of year is beautifully warm. The apartments are basic but have everything you need for a Meditteranean holiday and are cleaned daily by the lovely Liliana. Amerigo has kayaks etc for guests' use and a cafe serving lunches and wonderful Italian coffee. See you next year Amerigo!
