“Nice Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

You can get to Maronti Beach in the summer from Ischia Porto on the number 5 bus. It's direct and only takes 25 mins to get there. The bus runs every 20 mins. However, it's a small bus and is very popular so it gets rammed. The beach itself is nice. The sand isn't the softest though, and in the area we stayed it felt more like gravel. It's worth shopping around for sun beds as the prices do vary quite a lot. We found a place where the beds were 5€ each for the day, and the restaurant attached to them served good food that was reasonably priced. It also had a nice shower and clean toilet. I'd say this is the best beach on Ischia. We enjoyed our days there.

“Lovely Scenery ”

This is a nice beach which can be reached on the bus from Ischia Town (Porto). The only drawback is that you have to pay to use it. The price isn't bad though.

“Very nice beach but you have to try Nettuno!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We have been to many beaches throughout Italy but we had the most fun at the Nettuno beach club.
The people there could not be nicer and we had one of the best meals I have ever had at a beach club!
The "frittura" was terrific; very fresh fried fish and their salads were wonderful. I also have to add that they had the best bread I have found in Italy.

“Ischia's own Pirate Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

I have been in Ischia 5 or 6 times and my absolute favourite is Maronti beach.

First: it is the islands most beautiful beach with gorgeous, breath-taking views, in a bit forsaken place and looks like a bay where pirates love to land. Specially in spring and autumn. (When you have visited Ischia only in July-August, you might not see why Maronti is so special and wonderful.)

Second: the beach is 3 km long, with hot sand in one side, thermal baths and natural mineral water wells in the middle.

Third: you can find the precious jewels, eyes of Santa Lucia on the sand near the seawater.

Fourth: The beach is framed with the rocks which keeps the untouched, wild nature inside the valleys and upon the hills.

Fifth: Dark sand in some areas, white and black rocks by the sea, azure blue water, Capri and Sant'Angelo on the panorama.

Sixth: Lots of possibilities to do water sports and hiking.

the black volcanic sand mix with the dirt does not make this place attractive. the beach is full of Lidos (pay in beaches) and there are only few free of charges place where lie down.
