After staying in positano and capri, the stay in Ischia at the Moresco was like stepping back in time. The look of the hotel, the service and the fact that they had their own beach club just down the street was just what we wanted. Our room was a deluxe, with a spacious terrace. The concierge was helpful in suggesting day trips to the hot springs and such. Breakfast buffet was real nice and without fault. We had dinner on our terrace, would recommend it to everyone. The options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel are limited. The spa options could use some help and need to be upgraded. Would recommend a stay here for sure, but would then move on to one of the coastlines.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by name by the manager we found the hotel to be undoubtably the best we have stayed at whilst on holiday.
The ambience of the hotel and its facilities are second to none.
The chef, Giovanni, should be justifiably proud of the excellent food, and the restaurant staff were exceptionally professional and courteous. We found this to be true of all the staff from the the management to the gardeners.
Lastly but not least, Mina our fantastic holiday advisor for travel and transfer arrangements and all the other assisstance she kindly gave.
We would not hesitate to recommend the beautiful island of Ischia and the Il Moresco to anyone considering a visit.

First, we were scheduled to stay here two nights, we didn't realize the ferries from Ischia to Naples didn't run all the time though so we wanted to change the nights we stayed in Ischia. We emailed the hotel and thought everything was all set, until we got an email that nothing had been changed so for the second night of our stay we didn't have a hotel. The hotel informed us that they had no availability for the second night of our stay--fine. When we explained the situation the staff was incredibly rude. In fact, the manager came out and was yelling at my husband. As a side note---this was our honeymoon, knowning what we now know about this hotel and their staff we would have skipped this place altogether. They probably put us in the worst room in the hotel--it was right next to the reception desk and we could hear people walking through the halls all night. This was absolutely our worst experience in Italy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Don't get a room by the reception desk--it's too noisy

This is our third visit to Hotel Il Moresco in Ischia, and as per previous holidays there, it was simply perfect. Everything from the moment we arrived at Naples Airport was amazing. We were met by our holiday advisor, Mina, who looked after us so well. She is absolutely fantastic in everything she does. She is extremely polite, very knowledgeable and provides the highest standard of customer service, ensuring our stay and transfers were handled impeccably. She represents Thompson at the highest level.
The hotel, again was as good as it gets. Sumptuous decor, a stunning pool and additional sunbathing area made our stay special. The staff have impeccable manners and nothing is too much trouble. Onto the food......well what can we say - unbelievable!! It was of the highest standard and without doubt the best we have tasted in Italy (we do holiday there a lot too!!). From the amazing choice at breakfast with a huge array of fresh fruit, cheese, hams, and cooked breakfast too, nothing was lacking. The evening meal was a feast with the most amazing appetiser table with delights such as fresh marinated fish, griddled veg, and every type of anti pasti known to man. The pasta dishes, followed by meat/fish courses were different every evening and again a total gastronomic extravaganza. A special mention also for the waiters who were very attentive and again, nothing was too much trouble. It was truly stunning. We will be returning next year without doubt. Unbeatable!!

I have commented on this hotel extensively in previous reviews and have just returned from our 4th visit.
Suffice to say it is as good as usual and we have re booked for next year
Judging by the smiling faces of the clients especially in the restaurant ,many more will be returning as well.

This was our first real vacation together as a couple, a few years back. I also found out just how good my now wife is at finding fantastic places to go to, and great places to stay. For me it was great to be back in inlands of Italy, I have always enjoyed the summer here.

The hotel was just great, service, food, room, and don`t foget the therm pool, my wife spent so much time in it, I gave her the nick name of "Otter Butt"

The staff at the front desk gave us all the directions of good places to go, and set us up for a boat ride around the island.

All in all, a great time, with always fond memories, of Bruno and Rafahel

Room Tip: For vactaion in Euorpe in general, we like to go during the last week in June, first week in July. B...

Last minute, unexpected trip to Ischia was such a pleasant surprise. We booked the hotel two days before we did not know what to expect. The hotel was amazing, beautiful, clean and the staff very accomodating, The hotel architecture made you feel as though you were in Morocco. The white building against the torquise blue pools were stunning. There were three thermal pools; outside pool 86 degrees, the cave pool was 90 degrees and the indoor pool was 94 degrees, just what my body needed. The room was massive with a huge bathroom and a 'bathtub'... what a luxury in Italy!
The room rate included a lavish breakfast including Proseco, for those that like mimosa's for breakfast. For lunch we went to the restaurant next to their beach and it was delicious. We took advantage of the delicious seafood and had fried shrimp, calamati for appetizer with fresh spaghetti and clams for entree.. along with their own wine... and the beautiful view.. can't get much better than that.
For dinner, we were not that hungry, so we just ate outside by the pool. Bruno and Rafael took good care of us... they made us pizza with fresh mozzarella and fresh sliced tomato- it was so good we had it the next night also.
A slight disappointment was no sea view... and it was not directly on a beach. You had to walk a short way down the street to their 'private' beach which consisted of lounge chairs on a wooden structure with a small beach next to them. Not exactly the beautiful beaches that Ischia is known for. To get to the natural thermal springs you have to either drive to San Angelo and take a water taxi to the springs or I believe you could take a water taxi directly to the springs but it wasn't clear how to do that or how much it would cost. We did take a taxi around the island. The island is huge so it took 4 hours and cost 130 euro. The hotel reserved the taxi and promised an english speaking driver but unfortunately his english was about as good as my Italian... not good. We were glad we saw the island thought.
The boat ride from Sorrento was 20 Euro each, one way so the total cost for two would be 80 Euro. The ride is approx. 45 minutes each way.
We will definitely go back to this jewel....
