Five of us stayed there for five nights in mid may. We had a wonderful stay up the hills, a relaxing time sitting out in the balcony. Staff were extremely helpful in suggesting where to eat and where to visit outside of Cinque Terra. The pick ups from and to train station and shuttles to town were most convenient. Rooms were spacious and breakfast spread delightful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cinque Terra. Staying in Levanto was the right choice. Five minutes to Monterosso yet not having to fight crowds when arriving and leaving with our luggage to Milan.

The hotel is a 3-minute drive from the centre of Levanto which was no trouble for us and if you want they have a taxi service. In return you get relaxing quietness and priceless sea- and mountain views that you surely won't have in midst Levanto. Rooms are classic-modern and spotless clean and breakfast is overwhelming with all kinds of fresh fruit, bread, sweet cakes etc. Perfect place to start your (train trip to) long walks (the ones between levant and monterosso and between riomaggiore and portovenere being the most interesting).

Room Tip: the rooms with sea view and a small own terrace seem the best

2 night stay here was better than we imagined! Nice hotel with large rooms, nice views and welcoming staff which had the charming family touch.

3kms out of town make sure you request hotels shuttle should you be arriving by train.

Perfect location for visiting chinque Terre just out of tourist hot spots! This is where the locals stay!

Only negative would be bedding was a little hard and would hear people come and go from there rooms!

Would highly recommend!!

We thought Al Terra di Mare was the best location we stayed at in the course of travels through Italy. It was the perfect way to appreciate the cinque terra area without staying in the tourist cities. Very friendly, helpful staff. The room well positioned and well appointed.

I received a recommendation from a friend who had stayed here. The room had an awesome view. While the property was beautiful, we were slightly disappointed with how far off the beaten path they were. With the rainy weather, it really required a drive to/from the train, which was provided, but rather inconvenient. This review is long overdue as the service we received here was excellent. I'm not sure if this is family-run, but it sure felt like it. One evening we returned to the hotel expecting to enjoy our wine and cheese on the veranda, only to have rain dampen our plan. Not to worry, one of the staff made up a table for us on their covered patio in the restaurant, provided us with glasses and place settings and allowed us to enjoy our food/wine in a cozy little spot out of the way. What a treat! At the end of our stay, a strike was announced and the staff went out of their way to walk us through what we needed to do to make our next leg to Rome. A young man, perhaps a family member of the owners, got out his personal laptop and walked us through the Italian website to purchase new train tickets. We couldn't have done it without him - a belated grazie to the staff for going out of their way to help us!

Very beautiful and charming hotel with very clean rooms and an excellent breakfast buffet. This hotel is in an excellent location, just 2 km from the city center and train station connecting Cinque Terre. You will want to park your car at the train station and explore the town of Levanto. There is a wonderful terrace at this hotel. The staff and the owner are very helpful and extremely considerate of their guests.
I highly recommend this hotel, we have stayed here twice and absolutely love it.

Room Tip: We always ask for an ocean view? What a view!
