We stayed in this hotel from 1.June until 5.June and we were really sad as we had to leave back home. We had a room on the back side of the house wihtout seaview and neverthelless we enjoyed our stay very much. The terrific view you have anyway as soon as you step out of the door and so we enjoyed the view from the breakfast terace, from pool, from the garden etc. Room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet is as well more than good, fresh fruits, bred, eggs, cakes, really everything was just great! The hotel owner and his family are extremly kind and helpful and they provided the shuttle service to the Levanto indeed every day since we had our litlle baby (9 months) with us and could not walk down with the pram. We will remember this stay a long time and I hope we can go again there one time more. Many thanks to the family and a lot of warmest regards from Switzerland.

We stayed at La Giada for 4 nights and it was unforgettble. The situation overviewing the sea is breathtaking, the rooms are very well maintained and decorated. You have an extraordinary view from almost all the rooms (we had two different rooms at different levels and both with great views). The rooms in the upper levels are a bit noisy if cars are coming by. I loved the infinity pool which was not too cold and very appreciated after our daily excursions through Cinque Terre. The breakfast is great and compared to Italian standards very generous. The hotel is family owned and you can tell that all family members are concerned and assist. We ordered daily the free shuttle to the train station to start our excursions. Perfect starting point for daily hiking. Dinner has to be taken in Levanto but there is a good choice of excellent restaurants. Be aware that the hotel is situated up a hill, so you can walk there from Levanto through a lovely but steep path which can be very tiring.

Room Tip: ask for a room under the breakfast room

The hotel is located on a hill c.15 - 20 mins walk uphill from Levanto town centre. For those who are fit enough, the walk to and from the hotel is a warm up for the Cinque Terre walk. For those who prefer a more relaxing pace, there is car parking a shuttle service to town from the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. And the reviews of the breakfasts are true - we had fresh pineapple and melon every morning.
The hotel has it's own swimming pool if you would rather stay at the hotel than venture onto the beach in Levanto. We spent three lovely days there, each night coming back to the hotel to watch the sun set from our balcony. Truly unforgettable

Modern rooms with an outstanding view of the sea. Best brekfast room and selection of out three week trip; including fruit and scrampled egs. Very exprensive, but we will stay there on our next trip.

I wasn’t that impressed with this place, but it is rather unfair to say it.
I had just stayed at the most fabulous place in Tuscany for the same price and was really disappointed when I got here. But thinking fairly I think this is a fair review

Things we liked
The view – Each of the room have a patio looking out to sea, the view was stunning.
The pool – Small, but the view was fantastic.
The breakfast – You really were spoilt for choice, excellent.
Levanto is a very convenient location for the cinque terre. You can walk to the train station and its only 30mins to the last one and its cheap.
The fact we could park the car for free.
The fact that we were rescued by the lovely hotel mini bus driver at 1am. We thought we could just get a taxi back to the hotel any time of night but you cant, be warned. We just bumped into the hotel guy and he very kindly drove us back!

Thngs we didn’t like

The room – It was a bit small, and full of horrible duvet covets, smelt a bit damp and had ants on the floor. As we’d just come from the equivalent of a honeymoon suite at the last place I was not impressed! The bathroom was small, but clean and practical.

The price – 160 euros, very steep, but so is all of the cinque terre so there is nothing you can do about it.

You can not walk to Levento. Its way too far and steep. They offer a minbus service for free though.

Levento itself – Huge lovely beach but I thought the place was a bit cheap and tacky. We had one nice meal and one awful one. I really did not warm to this place. That said you are staying there cos it’s a good base and if you have a car you might actually find a space to park it..

I would not recommend staying in the cinque terre, we nearly did and were so glad we didn’t. You would not find a place to park your car in any of the villages, and we saw people walking up and down the very steep streets with their heavy cases not being able to find their hotel clearly stressed out!

For me it was the best I could find. I really struggled for find something around the 160 euros a night price range with parking. You are really limited, I think the Hotel Garden gets good reviews but its right in the middle of town and looked cheap so all in all we were glad where we were. Not sure if I would stay there again though.

Hotel La Giada del Mesco is a terrific hotel. Built within just the last couple years it is a 4 star place. While it has no restaurant, the breakfast is great and Levanto is just a 5 minute drive-we recommend that you have a car although the hotel can provide transporation. Many room have fantastic views. The small family staff
is very helpful and friendly althoug, frankly, their English is not the best. They have beautiful infinity edge pool blending into the Med. and a wonderful, very quiet and peaceful setting. Currently, Hotel La Giada del Mesco is not listed on Tripadvisor hotels but it should be. It is a fairly new hotel located just to the south of the Cinque Terra access town of Levanto, in Mesco-you actually drive through Levanto and wind up to the Mesco headlands to access the hotel. The hotel is situtated in a fantastic location with a commanding view of the Mare Ligure
