Great location , good size rooms for the cost . Good breakfast . Clean and good value for money . Location is just up the road from beach and close to shops .
Downside being on a Main Street it is a bit noisy, had to close windows and put a/c on at night to get a good sleep . Also people yelling up the stairs, and jumping on the floor (probably kids ) carries into rooms . Would I stay here again ? I would look at alternatives.

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Europa for one night 14-15 September 2013.

Levanto is the quietest of the Cinqueterre villages and we were glad to stay away from the hurly burly of the more 'touristy' areas.

We paid 135 euros for a small twin room facing the street. I found the price a bit daunting for a two-star hotel (despite including breakfast) but I suppose Cinqueterre IS a pricey place to visit. Our hotel room (423) was clean and tidy, the only drawback was the neighbouring church (?) bell that rang every 15 minutes 24 hours a day. A bit of a challenge if you are a light sleeper.

Our plans have changed and decided to booked a holiday to Cinque Terre & Tuscany (I will write a review on that later on). We booked all our accommodation 10 days before our holiday and all via booking.com (as always). It was pretty hard to find a place to stay which isn't super expensive. Cinque Terre accommodation is pretty expensive for what it is and we were happy to found Hotel Europa in Levanto. I've checked the reviews here on tripadvisor and they were accurate. When we booked it, the only available room was with the half board. We were pretty skeptical. But in the end, we have decided to take it. We paid a total of 316 euros for 2 nights. The hotel is easy to find and located in the center of Levanto. When we arrived, the private parking was full even if we have reserved a space so they gave us a free pass (you have to give your car plate number to the receptionist) to public parking near the train station which is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It was fine with us and I would say was a good offer since you have to pay for the private parking otherwise. The hotel is really small. We were prepared and expected it but since we are only staying for 2 nights, we didn't really care that much. It was clean and that's all that matter to us. The room is old so expect to have some parts of the bathroom look and seem to be untidy especially the shower flooring. The bed was single bed combined into double bed. We have stayed in room number 11. The other bed was really used that it was very hard to sleep. But the other one was ok. The wifi connection was very good. Ok, here comes the perfect part. The staff are very friendly. Piere Luigi, the owner of the hotel was there during the dinner (two evenings). He ensured the everything was great. He was very welcoming to us. The starter was a buffet style. The 2nd and 3rd courses were served by him and the other staff. It was good and I would say far better than what we expected. The dessert was always very very good. He didn't charged us for the mineral water and we paid 5euros for the wine that my husband drank. It was a local wine and it was good (accdg. to my husband as I didn't drink). We would pay triple the price for a half carafe here in CH. The breakfast was very good. The only thing was the coffee. It was a coffee machine where you put coins kind or at least thats how it tasted so we had tea instead. The system was also very organized. There were always your room number on the dining table allocated to you. Overall experience was good aside from few details in the room. It was clean but the room that we have stayed was old. So, maybe if you book or check-in, you can ask for a newer one. We didn't ask because it was full house and we didn't really mind because it was only 2 nights. But you certainly need to ask or upgrade for a longer period. I would recommend this hotel for those who wants to be away from the busy Cinque Terre and yet near enough to enjoy the five lands.

Room Tip: There are rooms on street view so choose the room on small alley side coz it is quieter.

We stayed in Levanto booking a trip to Cinque Terre. This place was amazing and absolutely perfect for our stay. We're a couple in their 30's and this was in a perfect spot to everywhere. The beach is a 5 min walk down the street. The train station - which connects to all Cinque Terre towns is 7 min away. There are plenty of shops and restaurants as well, all two steps away. We had room 10 and it was located at the front of the hotel, on the main street. It can get a little loud morning/night, but it wasn't disturbing, especially w/ the windows closed and it was nice to people watch with a glass of wine from our balcony. Rooms are not very big, but we weren't there to stay in the room all weekend. there was a complimentary breakfast each day (2) we were there, which was different each day and really good and a great way to start the day out. We cannot wait to go back and we'll definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 10 was great - on the main street, so good to people watch. Not a large room, but perfect for...

We have just stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was a nice hotel and the rooms were clean and tidy. It was in a great location - about 5 min walk to the beach and about 10 min walk to the railway station. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection.

We chose to base ourselves in Levanto to visit the Cinque Terre as we had a car and there was parking. The hotel had limited parking and when we checked in it was full so they gave us a pass to park in the paid areas of the town. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

We stayed here in May 2013 to focus on the Cinque Terre area. The location is fine, with a short walk down the hill from the train station. The service was excellent and we had a small but very comfortable room.
The breakfast was very good with a good assortment. For a 2 star hotel this was good value.
Levanto is a great location, not only for town itself which is lovely, but the ease of access to the Cinque terre. When you purchase your Cinque Terre pass the train travel is included which is a good arrangement.
Our only criticism is the towns bell tower which chimes 24 hours a day. With this in mind I would suggest a room not facing the street.

Room Tip: A room away from the main street to avoid the bells all night

When my husband and I decided to come to the coast from Venice, we had no idea where to stay other than we knew we wanted to be close to Cinque Terre. We chose a town close to a train station. Upon arrival by rail we were immediately pleased with Levanto, the town. Walk a few more blocks and voila! here is hotel Europa! Immediately Antonia was welcoming and friendly and very helpful to make us feel so welcome. When We booked the hotel from their website, it was only for a couple of days, as the hotel was booked for any other days we wanted to stay. Within moments the staff made it possible for us to stay longer, as we had requested. We paid a little more but we have the top floor room with access to the terrace outside. Even if we didn't have the terrace, the views from our room are still vast and wonderful. The breakfast is great every morning and the dinners are great value for what you receive. I've been craving fruits and vegetables and the hotel cook doesn't disappoint! The train station is close, the town has loads of restaurants and pasticcerias, pub, pizza, gelato and more. Cheap wines in the grocery stores and lots of local vin vendors. A wonderful place to spend some quiet time...
