staying at this family run agriturismo was one of the highlights of our vacation to Italy. We travelled with 2 other couples who shared our week with us. We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit overlooking the beautiful vineyards. Eva & Massimo were incredible hosts and shared their delicious meals, family and laughter with us. The meals were amazing, wine was flowing and we truly felt part of the family. We were lucky enough to have our friends that travelled with us recommend it, and we will certainly go back some day. Thank you Massimo, Eva, Olivia, Juergen & Luigi & Nancy!

We can't stop talking about our amazing stay in Poggio Asciutto in June 2011. The views, the food..... and Eva, Olivia and Massimo are fantastic hosts, we felt like part of the family. Family dinners together with the host family and other guests from around the world are maybe my strongest memory froom this trip. We also experienced a lunar eclipse over the Tuscan hills. Magic!

The children (6, 4 and 3 yo) loved the swimming pool and to play with Olivia and the dogs. Horse back riding in the vineyeards was also a huge hit! Ice cream trips to the nearest town of Greve are recommended as well as trips to the nearby medieval villages and cities. The local market was fun.

I can strongly recommend a visit at Poggio Asciutto if you are looking for genuine Italian hospitality, breathtaking views, beautiful surroundings and AMAZING food.

While the road up to Poggio Ascuitto may be a little rocky, everything about this family-run agriturismo is smooth and inviting. Our flat was spacious and clean. The view from our bedroom window was spectacular. The location outside Greve in Chianti is ideal -- close to major attractions in nearby towns and cities.

Our charming hosts Eva and Massimo made us feel part of the family. A delightful menagerie of pets adds to the cheerful and relaxed ambience.

Would we return? In a heartbeat!

We stayed at P.A. in October. The family was extremely nice and super helpful whether it was helping us get into town, rent bikes, telling us places to hike, etc. They grow their own grapes and olives and their wine was our favorite that we had while in Tuscany. I wish our stay could have been longer. If you do stay with them take advantage of eating breakfast or dinner with them because it is such a wonderful Italian experience. We will be back for sure!!!!

from the moment we arrived to the moment we left , Eva and Massimo welcomed us as though we were old friends. Our room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed( in our view, a very important point). The pictures don't do it justice as whichever direction you looked gave you a breathtaking view. We dined with Eva, Massimo and several other guests one evening, and were lucky enough to taste Massimo's 'Steak Fiorentino' (hope i got that right).
When we travelled into Florence, Eva gave us some good tips on places to see and eat . We can't wait to return at the next opportunity.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. We had a double with en suite, but they cater for larger groups and families...

I hate to be the one spoiling the string of enthusiastic reviews. The place's own website does not offer much information, so we made the reservation based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We were on a family trip, and booked an apartment for 6. When we arrived we were disappointed by the apartment, which had 2 of us sleeping in a separate room and the 4 kids on the upper floor of a second unit. It was anything but the warm family experience we were hoping for. We decided to leave the next day, apologized and even offered to pay for an extra night. The reaction was not understanding and almost hostile. Most unprofessional. Even with our limited agroturismo experience, I just don't get the reviews.
