While driving through the Chianti region in Tuscany, we stopped in Greve as I needed to find a restroom. We saw this caffe in a strip mall and it really didn't look like much from the outside, but when a girl's got to go .... she isn't choosy. Imagine my surprise to have found the perfect place for pizza. The homemade pizza (not the one in the case) was to die for! It was thin and crispy and so so good. I had the Napoli which was with anchovies and capers and my husband had the prosciutto and mushroom. We both agreed that it was the best pizza we ate throughout our travels through Rome, Florence and Pisa. The place looks like a diner on the inside, but in back there is a nice outdoor patio for dining. As we sat there, the place started to get busy so we knew the locals liked it. The man who waited on us was so friendly and attentive. I think he must have been the owner. Such a nice guy. I highly recommend this caffe for their homemade pizza if you go through Greve on your travels in Chianti. Don't pass it by!
