We had lunch here last week for a bigger company. We were actually recommended to try this restaurant. The location is quite good but still its little bit hidden so you don´t find this in big rush.
The restaurant was actually closed when we got there (Lunch time opens in 12.30) But they opened the door and took our table reservation so when they opened we would have table for sure.
The waitress was good, she spoked Italian-English and I don´t mean the accent but every second word was English and every other was in Italian. She was nice to suggest different food to us, but couple of us was vegetarian/wegans and when we asked meatless choise she didn't quite said anything to that. We all ordered some kind of pasta-Spagheti. It took a wild to get the food, but of course it was a lunch time and there were like 20 people at the time. The amount of food is massive. Only 40-50% of us made all the way to eat the hole plate. The pasta was well cooked, but it would have been nice if there was more of side with the pasta, like vegetables or meat etc. We also ordered some vegetables, we thought that was for the side but those famed after we ate the main dinner. The waitress said that this is local way to eat, First the heavy pasta then the fresh salad :)

This restaurant is tiny but amazing! Book or you'll have no chance getting in if at peak time, eg 8.30-9.30pm

Home cooked food, the pastas, ravioli, cappelletti. Etc is all home cooked and absolutely amazing. Great meats too, the chef if lovely and she has worked across Italy and in London. So lovely that we went back 2 nights in a row! All staff lovely, great atmosphere , overall superb.

We came here at lunchtime after reading all the favourable reviews - and I am pleased to say that we weren't disappointed....the restaurant is cosy and the service was friendly and attentive without being in your face. The pasta was excellent and the main courses were extremely generous and very tasty. The desserts were just delish! With food as good as this, I imagine that it would be essential to book in the evenings.

Although we have been travelling to Umbria and Tuscany for the past 8 years we have only recently discovered Pappa e Ciccia, a fabulous, cosy little restaurant that is rapidly becoming our favourite table in the region.

The cooking here really stands out for quality in an area blessed with excellent restaurants. From delicious pastas to a knockout chocolate pudding. As a largely vegetarian family we have also appreciated the variety on offer - much more than the usual mushroom or tomato pasta dishes. And the contorni are also delicious - tiny fried peppers, braised red cabbage - again offering something out of the ordinary.

The staff, including the chef who can be seen working away through a serving hatch, are charming and the whole experience is a real pleasure.

Must not miss.

What's initially great about this small and cosy trattoria is the warm, friendly welcome. Then comes the delicious home made food and for regular visitors there's the bonus of a changing menu. Good too for vegetarians. Also love the fact that you can watch the cook at work!
