When we arrived, the staff tried to give us a very small room without the advertised fridge, however, when I mentioned the fridge they immediately gave us a bigger room containing one. Most rooms in the hotel have balconies, ours went to the street below. The beds were very comfortable, and the bath towels were white and fluffy and not worn. However, the shower cubicles were the smallest I have seen with nowhere to put soap or shampoo. There was plenty of wardrobe space. The room as facing the street which turned into a pedestrian precinct at night which made it a litte noisy with people wondering up and down, bicycles and a little train going by but the patio doors, once closed, cancelled out the noise. There were roller blinds too to darken the room.
The breakfast was basic, they had bacon and eggs but the bacon was very greasy and slightly unappetising. They had 3 different cereals and a some cheese, ham and salami. The best thing about breakfast were the croissants which they bake in the kitchen and which are divine!
The hotel is in a good location, a 3 minute walk to the beach, where you have your assigned deckchairs and parasol for your stay. You can leave your towels and books when you go for lunch, which is really handy. The beach is croweded with sun loungers and parasols all around you, but that's Jesolo for you.
Venice is easily reached by boat or bus, or both. We took the local bus to Punta Sabbioni from where we took a boat to Venice. There are public boats for Eur 19 for the bus and the boat which runs approx every half hour, but we bought a ticket for Eur 9 return from a company called Marco Polo and had to pay around Eur5 return for the bus. A word of warning, the bus on the way back gets really crowded as everyone who comes off the boats packs in them.
Jesolo has lots of shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours to keep everyone entertained and some restaurants have live music.
I wouldn't spend a fortnight there, but it was great for the 5 days we went for.The friendliness of the staff would probably make me book the hotel again.
