“Happy Holidays.”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

My husband and I have just returned from 2 weeks in this lovely hotel, well what can we say?, we have had one of the best holiday's ever, the staff at this hotel have to be the most attentive staff we have ever come across, the attention to detail is second to none, first of all the food, excellent Al A Carte, the rooms were spotless, and the chambermaid's work endlessly, the pool area was lovely with great views of Jesolo, the bar in the evening was really comfortable with plenty of "people watching" in the piazza, a must with an Aperol Spitz!!, we could not recommended this hotel enough, we would like to thank The Maitre d Andreas Our waiters Fabio and Limo, also Mary and Linda in the restaurant, and Shaun who was an absolute gentleman, thank you all for making our holiday in Italy one to remember, we will most certainly be back. Mr Mrs Grant.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the piazza is lovely.

We stayed at the Principe Palace Hotel in May 2014, and must say it was a very pleasant experience. Rooms were excellent, food and wine superb and all of the staff made us feel very welcome and special. The Hotel is centrally located to all places and of course Venice is a little way up the road. I would thoroughly recommend a stay, half board at this hotel; most excellent and thanks

Room Tip: Make sure you have a room facing the main square

great place to stay .just returned from 1st time in Jesolo 11july hotel staff very polite and helpful especially natalino, sofia and the maître d andreas in restaurant .hotel was spotlessly clean, clean towels everyday free aircon free safe.we found the food was great ,some people expect to eat English.the service in restaurant was very good. great location for trips to venice only short bus and ferry ride away the beach is good with free sunbeds we had a room on 1st floor overlooking piazza we are both 57 and did not find it noisy at all .hard rock had a concert in piazza Saturday night but finished at 11pm so was ok .we have stayed all over Italy and we would recommend this hotel to friends and family. we would advise Thomson clients to check with reps if they have trips booked as one of our times was changed because of roadworks on way to dolomites we have one last thing to say this is a GREAT HOTEL and holiday

Room Tip: we had 1st floor room overlooking piazza both 57 did not find noisy

My husband and I have just returned from a week half board stay. When we booked this hotel I was a little unsure about the location. It's situated in a busy Piazza. After reading all the reviews I decided to go for it, and based on the comments I requested a front facing high room.
I am so glad I did, as sitting on the balcony watching the activity in the square was very entertaining. Our hotel bedroom (501) was a little dated and the shower was a very small dated cubicle .But everything kept lovely and clean by the excellent maids.
The restaurant staff were so friendly. You have a waiter aloccated to your table for your stay. We had a new waiter called Andreas. He was such a sweet friendly, polite young man.
I enjoyed the food more than my Husband, but he is harder to please than me.
I liked the fact that you choose the next nights starter and main the day before. You can help yourself to a pre starter from a buffet and then the starter and main is served by the waiter. The sweet is buffet style. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and their croissants were the best I've had.
The pool is on the roof top, It is not very big, but fine for cooling off. The beach is not far and the hotel has its own section with free sunbeds to use.
I found the balcony doors were very good at shuttting out the noise from outside, so don't let the worry of noise stop you from having a room at the front. I don't think we would have enjoyed it as much at the back of the hotel.
Lot's of the guests we spoke to were returning customers and I can understand why, as the hotel is well situated for exploring Venice, Verona and for visiting the Dolomites. But for those who just want to sunbathe and take a stroll in the evening it is also good.
I don't normally like busy resorts full of bars and tacky shops, but somehow I still enjoyed myself. There is something for everyone, I even persuaded my husband to hire bikes (which are free from the hotel). The area is perfect for hiring a bike as it is totally flat and has lots of cycle lanes.

Room Tip: Room 501 has wi fi but the others don't. You can only access it in reception and rooftop. Room 5...

This was our first time at this hotel after a friend recommended it after visiting it 3 times. It was approximately 30 mins from the airport. All the staff were very friendly & spoke good English. The food was fab - we were half board so we got breakfast, which was a buffet of cereals, breads, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, bacon, eggs, sausages, pancakes, doughnuts & cookies. Evening meals were a buffet salad bar followed by a starter & main which was waiter service that you ordered the night before from a set menu, then a dessert buffet bar which was mainly fruit but also had pastries & ice cream. The starters were things such as ravioli, spaghetti, mussels, scallops & soup & the main options were rooster (which was just basically a big chicken thigh) with chips, spare ribs, lamb & also lots of fish dishes such as monkfish & salmon. The portions were small & presented very nicely like a fine dining experience. You were never hungry after it as the salad bar that you helped yourself to before the starter was huge & you got carried away with piling that on the plate!
Bottle of wine with the meal 15 euros, bottle of lemonade 5 euros, bottle of water 3.5 euros. You paid for your drinks at the end of your holiday at reception.
There were plenty of places to eat in the area if you wanted lunch such as pizzerias (tons of them everywhere) & the pool bar did lovely food for reasonable prices such as pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, chips & pasta dishes.
Great location - right near the beach & on a huge strip of bars, pizzerias, shops & most importantly ice cream parlours which were amazing! Bubblegum flavour, lion bar flavour, Nutella flavour, marshmallow flavour!
You could hire bicycles free from the hotel for 3 hours at a time which was great for getting about the area as it was too big to walk down the strip. There is also a Lidl nearby so you can stock up on dirt cheap food, soft drinks & alcoholic drinks for your room. The bikes have baskets on the front of them so we cycled to Lidl & put the bottles of water in them on the way home.
There is a bus stop nearby where you can get a 30 min bus journey to Punta Sabbioni then a 30 min boat trip over to Venice instead of doing an organised trip to make it cheaper, it's really easy to do yourself. Just get your tickets from the tabacconist in the square then head to the bus stop, 19.50 euros return to Venice each or 23.50 euros for a 12 hour bus/boat ticket each & you can use it as many times as you want in 12 hours. We went to an island called Merano where they make glass & we paid 2 euros to go into the factory to watch how it is made & we also went to an island called Berano which is where lace is made.
You have to pay 1.50 euros per person upon checking out of the hotel - some kind of new tax thing in Italy.
If your thinking of doing a day trip to Venice take quite a bit of money as it's expensive. 80 euros for a 30 min gondola ride, 20 euros for a drink in St Marks Square & 8 euros for a pint in a dingy pub down a side street!
We got engaged in Venice last week & told our Thomson rep who told the restaurant manager & on our last night he came over with a congratulations card & gave us a free bottle of wine!
The staff couldn't do enough for you. The maids came daily with fresh towels.
The rooms aren't anything special & are quite old fashioned & the beds are slightly hard but they're very clean. Basic Italian style. There's so much to do in the area that you won't be in the room for long periods anyway.
Verona & Lake Garda are about 2.5-3 hours away & we did them on a Thomson trip & would definitely recommend.
The rooftop pool is nice. It's quite small & ice cold but it isn't really a sunbathing holiday so we weren't in it that much. The sea is cold too.
Overall had an amazing time & didn't want to come home!

Room Tip: Try emailing the hotel direct & asking for a room at the front of the hotel facing the square as...
