i booked to stay with Gardenia due to a computer error i had to cancel my booking, although i did not stay at this hotel, due to the fact the owner Simone was so helpful in relocating me, i feel this review was well deserved as the hotel he arranged for me to stay was top class, so Simone many thanks to you!!

Nice hotel situated near the beach. We had half boar, which was really worth its money.
It was a pity that the decent and rathet cheap dinner was ended within the hour. Good breakfast. You are entitled to have a parasol and 2 sunbeds free of charge at the special hotel part of the beach. And you keep the same spot during your stay. Also good starting point for (coach + boat) trip to Venice. The staff is friendely, though most of them speaking only Italian.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2011. Pros: The hotel staff are very helpful (owners). It's in a great location and it's clean. Cons: July is very hot therefore the air conditioning we thought could have been better. The breakfast room, being on an underground level, was very hot. It was over 35 degrees so I imagine it isn't quite so bad outside July & August.
Some rooms have been refurbished and some haven't (I think). Maybe you could check upon booking? We know this as we moved room due to the nature of our booking and our second room was much better, cleaner, newer and seemed more spacious too.

Room Tip: Ask for refurbished room.

We really appreciate the service that you liked and listed there: while there are also grateful for the comments we make, giving us the opportunity to communicate important improvements we've made to our structure. The breakfast room has been installed a new air conditioning system, so the air-conditioned environment is properly making the temperature very pleasant. As you have noticed, we are gradually renovating the rooms, for which the approval rating is very high, as you yourself have seen. We hope to be able to still have our guest in the future, thus having the opportunity to personally test the overall improvement of our offer.

We went to Hotel Gardenia 4 years ago and loved it. We have just been for the second time and still love it. It is a family run hotel, the owners and the staff are friendly and helpful. They don't speak alot alot of English but they try there best and we didn't find it a problem because we learnt a few Italian words. The rooms are very clean and confortable. We always stay full board because the food is excellent, lots of choice and good portions. The beach is a stone throw away but if you don't want to go to the beach there is lots to do in Jesolo. There was a sand sulcpture championship whilst we were there, there is also an air show. Shopping is really good and there are plenty of cafe's and bars to choose from. We would definatly reccomend this hotel and will be going again next year.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Where do I begin?!
Myself and my husband stayed at the Gardenia from 5th-10th July, then went to stay in Venice, in a 4 star hotel. I much preferred the Gardenia to the venice 4 star!
The service is exemplary...Simone, who I believe is the manager, can't do enough for you....absolutley nothing is too much trouble.Always a smile and a friendly hello from all of the staff. Matthew our waiter was fab!
We arrived by bus from Marco Polo airport, which I would definitley recommend. Very reliable service, on a clean, air conditioned bus with ATVO. You can buy your tickets online or when you get there, outside the terminal and it was just 10.5 euros for the 2 of us, including luggage, one way. The bus stop is only about 500meters from the hotel but we did have trouble finding it initially and wandered around for approx 30 mins in 30 degree heat...which made for a very hot and sticky trek with luggage. When we got to the hotel, Simone said that we should have let him know and they would have picked us up from the bus station....and true to his word, on our return journey, we were taken back to the bus station free of charge.
I would definitely recommend opting for at least half board....the evening meals are excellent and not to be missed. The standard and quality of food and service in their formal dining room would be hard to top in any restaurant you might try. You are asked to fill out a menu card at breakfast each morning, for the evening meal that day. There is bruschetta, salad, bread and crackers waiting on your table when you arrive in the dining room and your table is allocated for the duration of your stay, with you room number on it. From the menu, you choose a starter, main course and dessert. There are about 4 choices for each, which we found to be fine, and it is varied each night. For the starters there is for example, soup or seafood pasta. For the mains there is a choice of sea bass, veal, tomato and mozzarella, pasta, to list but a few. The desserts are to die for...utterly gorgeous and all presented and served as if it were a top class restaurant....which all made it that little bit more special. It was my birthday while we were there and i came down to dinner to find a bouquet of white roses waiting for me on our table...a lovely, touching gesture.
Dinner is served at approx 7.30pm. Some people might find this restrictive, having an exact time, rather than a window for dinner but we definitley didn't.
The breakfast is adequate, with a fab coffee machine and the usual bread, meats, cheeses, eggs, jams, cereals, cakes, pastries, croissants and fruits available, as is the norm for a continental, buffet style breakfast. It always amazes me when people list all of these things then moan about it not being enough...what else do you want or need for your breakfast?!
I can't comment on the lunchtime food as we stayed half board but if the breakfast and dinner are anything to go by, I'm sure the lunch would be great.
The hotel itself is bright, colourful, (without being gaudy), airy and spotlessly clean. The rooms are modern and bright, with a little balcony, from which you can see the beautiful sandy beach. The bathrooms are on the small side but clean and bright. The shower does not have a tray and it is a "wetroom" style bathroom. This didn't botther us at all and the shower was perfectly fine, water pressure and temperature wise. The only thing the rooms are missing is a small fridge. That said, I would not hesitate in booking this hotel again, fridge or no fridge!
Jesolo itself is just gorgeous. Very few British people there at all...which I found a bonus...makes you feel like you're really on holiday! Mainly Italians and Germans while we were there. Basic English spoken in the shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels. Not that I expect any more than that...their English was better than my Italian and it would be ignorant to expect evrybody to speak perfect, fluent English! It added to the charm of this fantastic place.
The main road is pedestrianised at night and the atmosphere is just lovely, with brass bands playing on the street for entertainment, you can just sit and chill out, watching the world go by. There are the obligatory gift shops with fridge magnets, tea towels, cups, ash trays and the likes...mingled in with top designer shops, such as Gucci and Armani...so something for everyone. There are even amusemnet arcades and crazy golf, mingled in with the shops, and numerous cafes and restaurants.
The beach is beautiful and the sea, although not the clearest, as it is the med, is great for a dip, as it doesn't get too deep, even if you swim or walk out for quite a way.
You have an allocated parasol and sun beds on the beach, (hotel name and room number on the parasol, which nobody seemed to bother about, as long as you were in the right row for the hotel, the room number didn't seem to matter, as there were plenty to go round). The beach s beautiful, fine soft sand, with showers every few hundred yards. There were chidren's play areas dotted along the beach, to keep the little ones entertained.
To sum up, I would without hesitation recommend Jesolo and specifically this hotel, for a brilliant Venetian Riviera holiday and will without question be returning to this hotel, which thanks to the staff is made to feel like a home from home.

Very good restaurant. The food was diversified during one week. We were able to choose the meny for the second day base on 5-6 choices. We had a "galla dinner " with the fammily owner of the hotel ans we got small gifts when we lest the hotel.
The owner are very friendly and customer oriented.

We chose to stay in Jesolo at the end of our European trip. Thanks to Trip Advisor, we found a GREAT hotel. Situated in the heart of the town and 1 minute away from the beach, this hotel is a gem.
As soon as we stepped in the hotel, we were greeted with friendliness and that stayed with us for the rest of our stay. Whenever we needed something, they would leave everything and our enquiries were attented to immediatley. Some service!!!
We took the full board plan, great decision! Definetely recommend to go that way. The breakfast was beyond European standard with a variety of breads, croissants, cakes, cold cuts, cheeses....and on and on. And the coffee.... what a great way to start the day.
Lunch and dinner were always a treat. With a good choice of firsts, seconds and deserts. Always prepared to the high standard of great chefs. The bonus, of course, was the dining room service. Always polite and with a smile, we were always treated like royalty. Fabbiano, Romeo, Irene and Emma, you were the best.
The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable.
The beach was typical of Italian flavour. Beautiful fine sand, warm water and we had an umbrella and 2 loungers included in the hotel price. The same umbrella was reserved for us everyday, which made it very simple every morning.
If you want to have a vacation filled with hospitality, friendliness, great service and surrounded by clean and inviting surroundings, then Hotel Gardenia is the place for you. Dina, Vittorio and Simone, thank you for everything.
This hotel certainly deserves another star.
