Vittorio, Dina and Simone have to be among the nicest people on the planet. Never have I felt more welcome and treated so well. We spent three nights and hated to leave. The remodeled rooms are great and the meals the best in Italy. We like the beach and Lido di Jesolo so much that we no longer visit Venice unless we are with friends who have not seen it. We prefer to spend our time at the Hotel Gardenia an the Jesolo area. Fellow Americans take heed, skip Venice (or just go in for an expensive gondola ride) then spend the rest of your time with the Bachins at Hotel Gardenia. You'll be glad you did.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a balcony and views of the Adriatic. Just ask to see the room when you check in...

We have just spent a week at the Hotel Gardenia. We are a family of 4 and an 18 month year old. What can I say, from the moment we arrived at the hotel to the moment we left we were very very impressed with this hotel in every way. The room was pristine with a beautiful bathroom and small balcony with a sea view. This was cleaned every day to a very high standard and we had fresh towels each day. We were half board at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast was different choices of fresh meats, cheeses, a good variety of breads, fruit juices and fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, cereal and plenty more. This was served in a breakfast room downstairs which also had a play area for children and televisioin. Lunch and evening meal were served in the beautiful upstairs diningroom and the foold was very varied and delicious. The service was excellent! It seems to me that this family have made it their sole intention to provide all guests who stay there with a hotel stay they wont forget. The hotel also offers an airport shuttle service and bicylces should you wish to do this. Once again to Simone and your family we say thank you very much for making our holiday so good.

I have just spent 5 days staying with my Mum and four siblings at this family run hotel. We could not fault anything, such a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. The rooms were light and airy and cleaned daily with fresh towels. The food we could not fault, plenty of choice and served by Serena and Elaina who were so friendly and obviously happy in their work. Simone was very helpful and there was always a very friendly welcome at reception.
The hotel is situated very close to the beach and the sunbeds are provided free of charge.
Evenings can be spent strolling along the promenade or looking around the many shops. We visited Venice, driving to Pont Sabionni, paid 5 euros to park the car and then got the vaporetto. Our stay was made so much better with wonderful weather, a few thunder storms but these were in the evening so didn't affect us too badly. I hope to return with my husband for another visit and would certainly stay here again.

We have just spent the most amazing week, in Jeselo. This hotel was beautiful, they made is us feel so welcome, a lovely friendly family hotel. The room was lovely, comfortable, cleaned everyday and new towels. we were well looked after. The breakfast was great, all you could want, fresh fruits, hams cheese salami, eggs, cakes and pastries, lovely coffee, range of teas and juice. Fantastic.
Beds on the beach 5 minutes away and bikes to loan to explore the coast.
Will definitely return to this Hotel, so helpful and welcoming, lovely atmosphere.

the resort was quiet, but we were obviously early in the season and was told that in a months time it would be very lively, Morgans bar was good for a nice drink and Floriditos was a lovely little cool place where the locals drank. The Restaurant opposite was amazing called Corso but there were many lovely places to eat, Piazza Mazzini was lively.

Only complaint would be the taxi's were really expensive.

We visited the hotel Gardenia for four nights at the end of three weeks in Italy over five locations. The thinking was a wind-down after more cultural and historical visits which had involved lots of walking and sight-seeing would round off the holiday nicely.

Lido di Jesolo is a very commercial beach resort perfect if you just want to spend some time on the beach and browsing the shops along the street behind the seafront. Gardenia is located between the two (that's a few yards from each!) like all the similarly located hotels it does of course feature it's own reserved area of that beach with loungers and parasols which are included in the price. If, like myself you don't want to spend all day on the beach you have the option of borrowing one of the hotel's bicycles (also complimentary) to explore the area - which is very flat!

This hotel was the most inexpensive on our vacation - I would avoid calling it cheap, because that would give entirely the wrong impression. It has clearly recently undergone substantial refurbishment - I don't know if this is completed throughout the hotel, but certainly the rooms we stayed in were of a very high standard.

But the quality of the accommodation was not the greatest thing about the hotel - not because it fell short of anything, but that from the moment we arrived, we were treated as very welcome guests. There was a drink awaiting us along with the smiles and welcomes. This is a family run hotel with several generations in residence and although English is not fluent (one of our party is a confident Italian speaker), the language of friendly and solicitous patronage is international.

We also ate in the hotel three out of the four nights and can recommend the value and quality of cuisine - although if you want to push the boat out and spend considerably more, there are plenty of other good restaurants in the resort.

One anecdote which illustrates the extra mile that the family go to is that Simone offered to drive us to the bus station linking us to the airport. Completely unsolicited and we would have thought no worse of the place had he not enquired and offered. Apparently out of season he gives classes on how to run a good hotel - a task to which we can vouch, he is eminently qualified. The other members of the family and the two young people who we're serving the tables were also delightful, courteous and friendly in a completely natural, unforced way.

I've already recommended this hotel to my sister and if I were returning to Jesolo, I would not be thinking of staying anywhere else. Top marks? Absolutely.

Firstly I'd like to say that I have never stayed in a place where there were more accommodating people who work there than at Hotel Gardenia.
We happened to walk past the hotel and was drawn in but the beautiful external colours and flowers on the balconies.
Welcomed warmly by all staff and were booked in within no time. Even though we hadn't booked anything, even during peak season rooms were sorted out for us.
We stayed there in various different rooms, some renovated and some not.
All very clean and welcoming.
Restaurant staff were super friendly and warm, not to mention the amazing and delicious food.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away even if it's just for a weekend.
Everyone was super happy with everything. Thank you.

Room Tip: I would recommend the superior room as this was our favourite, modern design and recently renovated...

Stayed at the Hotel Gardenia for five nights last week. The location is superb. THe staff especially Simone were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even taking us to the bus station on our last morning.

We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, brekkie was fresh and plentiful.

Our room was lovely and clean, with a wonderful bathroom. We even had a little balcony with a sea view.

Lido de Jesello is a wonderful family resort and well worth a visit.

We will be back.
