Disappointed in studio would defo go 4aparemt nxt time if ever return. Cleaning very surface, not enough toilet paper given & sheets only changed once in the fortnight? Towels changed couple times a week. Wouldn't want 2n there when busy as pool small with only 17 sunbeds& most of them were cracked? 5min walk 2 promenade, restaurants etc but few stalls out at nite on promenade? Don't knw if first 2wks in June 2early?? Had good time overall but very quiet all over compared 2last year-July tho! U decide.

Well if you are planning on arriving later than 7 youll have to ring for someone to meet you with your keys, as the reception is closed at 7! The rooms are great value 'cheap and cheerful' the bedding is only changed once a week and towels twice a week. The pool is a good temperature and is very clean with a good amount of sunbeds avaliable, however is is not 250m away from the beach as stated, the bus station and supermarket is only a short 5 minute walk away. I would recommend if you are looking for a cheap get away. Wifi will cost 4 euros an hour and tv is 15 euros for the day.

Stayed here at end of June in room 23, we were looking forward to a nice relaxing holiday but it was not to be! we agree with all the other reviews.
The advert states that the beach is 250m from hotel they must use a different rule to the English and as for the Market its a good 1 hour walk it took us longer as we are both disabled.
We only had our towels changed only once and the bedding not even that, the room its self was good but would have liked a window or fan in bathroom smelly drains!
I could go on but won't as for a young fit couple its the perfect holiday as they don't mind walking a long way to beach or supermarket.

Stayed in a studio apartment directly above reception and overlooking the pool - very small and the bed was solid (was really glad to get home to my own bed after a fortnight!). Great for self catering, but make sure to thoroughly clean all utensils/cooker etc, so if you are on a budget remember to factor cleaning materials into costs. Reception rarely open so internet access is rare. Safe available in the room - key from reception (which is never open). CNBC is only English TV channel which usually wouldn't bother us but during heavy downpours it would have been nice to watch something other than stocks and shares! Cleaners came twice when we were there and changed the towels/sheets and cleaned the floor and emptied the bin. You can hear the plumbing from the next room and the rooms above, along with any other bathroom 'noises'! We never used the pool, as it was only open at certain times and on the rare occasions that reception was open, the guy would come out and and ask kids to keep the noise down. No balls or toys were allowed to be played with in the pool, which seems silly.

Quarteira itself is very small, but a good base to start from. Beach is alright, but we spent most of our time in Vilamoura, which is about fifteen/twenty mins walk along the beach from the hotel. There is a bus station five mins away. You can buy a one/three/seven day bus ticket which will take you anywhere in the Algarve. We purchased the seven day ticket and used it to travel everywhere, all the major places on the map. Lagos is worth a visit as well as Albufeira and Faro. There are a few supermarkets in the town, and a LIDL about 40 mins walk from thge hotel (turn left on main road from hotel and carry on straight). There is also a market there on Wednesdays, across from LIDL car park. You can get a bus also. We took a day trip to Lisbon. Very different from the Algarve and would happily go again. We left at 6am and got back to the hotel around 11pm, the bus cost around 20 euros. If you walk along to Vilamoura you can see the Marina, where there are plenty of shops

All in all, we got a great break away for the price we paid. I would stay in these apartments again if we got them for the same price. A fortnight seemed too long for us as there wasn't enough to do, especially in Quarteira itself.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool as the view from any of the others aren't great. The area it...

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Kings Apartments in Quarteira Portugal,
was a bit worried abour the reviews, but no need, the hotel was clean and tidy, the pool very clean, We only saw the cleaning people once a bit of a sweep and a change of towls, the next time they came I had had a fall so was resting, so did not want them to disturb me,
The down side was that the reception was not open 24 hours, so when I had my fall if |I had need help, then they would not have been open to help me,

If tou want sosme good eatery places, then try the english breakfast served by Fatima in Leonario
also we were celebrating out 40th wedding anniversay so wanted a good meal on the day, stone baked steak from Picnic was very good staff wonderful, price not to expencive
when I had my fall, the guy from Pic nic helped us to get a taxi.
all in all not a bad holiday

Room Tip: Do not book a studio apartment, they are very small

Okay being as honest as i can be but remember this is only my opinion and everyone is different.
Stayed in Room 23b which is the top floor facing the sea front. Room itself is nice, it was a 1 bed apartment with a lovely size balcony. Beds were very uncomfortable and creaky (may have just been the room we was in) and such a let down the bathroom does not have a window nor did it have any typre of extractor fan so the smell got rather bad at times which did seem to go through the entire apartment :-(. View was okay, you could see the sea between the buildings but there is a bit of derelict land out the front which really lets the view down. Pool is great, no cons to it, plenty of sun beds , shallow end is 5ft deep end is 6ft and there is a childs pool also, always saw it getting cleaned. Room service is strange, stayed 8 days got our towels changed 3 times and bed linen was not changed once. All cooking equipment you could want, microwave, oven, hob, kettle, Large fridge freezer, washing machine and coffee machine. The rooms were rather loud at night but that was down to inconsiderate neighbours bashing , scraping chairs and clonking around in heels on tiled floors which kept me awake. Lady on reception is nice, very helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay but uncomfortable sleeps and the waste land lets the view down but obviously that cant be helped

Room Tip: Top Floors face the Sea, 1st floor face the pool but never get the sun , ground floor okay but would...

Picked these apartments after reading reviews on here. Very pleased with our choice. One bedroom apartment very spacious with well equipped kitchen although to be fair I only used the hob for cooking. Stuck to self catering apart from one meal out. Lady on reception speaks English and was always helpful. A light bulb in the bedroom that blew was fixed in less than half an hour. First couple of nights were really hot with shutters locked at night although we left the window open - would have been nice with a bit of aircon but we knew there wasn't any. We were on the front, top floor of the building with a sea view which was great but could get a bit windy - it always seemed warmer down on the ground. Noise did carry especially if you had people staying that didn't give a toss how much they banged around!! Cleaned and towels changed 2-3 times a week. Took us a day or so to find a proper supermarket as the small ones do not have fresh meat (we're not fish lovers although the local fish market was great!). Ecomarche (actually Intermarche) on the main road was ok for most things. LIdl was too far for carrying food back. The next resort Vilamoura was a convenient 20-25 minute walk away and seemed rather more upmarket and glamorous but we preferred where we stayed as it was a proper seaside town. And yes, the Pastelaria downstairs was very convenient for cakes and batches!! Overall a brilliant two weeks - would recommend.
