Great place to eat in Quarteira ! We had a table of 6 had 3 jugs of sangria + 3 half pint of larguer + fresh seafood for everyone + desserts and the bill came to £109.50 what a bargain ! Definitely going back there (^L^)

We came across this little restaurants on one of our evening walks it was getting late so stopped off for a small beer and glass of white wine which was extremely cheap. The wine by the glass is out of an optic and not from a bottle and very fizzy, but this was the way it was in most places if asking for a glass of wine, I didn't mind it quenched my thirst, if I wanted something better would have looked at the wine list, the service was good. We decided to go back on the Monday, there was a jazz player on, and a voucher was given for a free drink, but we would have gone anyway.

We arrive about 8ish and it was beginning to fill up inside, there was a cold wind that night so everyone wanted to sit inside. We were asked which table we would like and chose ourselves, we ordered our meal and some more people arrived. The waiting on staff were very good but we did feel we waited a bit of a time for our started which were prawns, but when they arrived the were very nice. My OH had the squid kebab and boiled potatoes and a lovely salad, I had pork steaks, it was a large plate with chips, rice and salad. The atmosphere was good with lots of chatter from other visitors,It isn't a big place but feel this adds to the atmosphere. I would certainly go back.

Visited twice. Service very good, though they could do to smarten the place up a bit and redo the menus. However, first visit seafood and rice cataplana was wonderful (despite a lot of crabsticks which the waitress advised were lobster!), more than enough to serve 4, we took half of it away for lunch next day. Asked for tomato salad (not on menu) very good, as was house wine. We left very happy, with vouchers for a drink on Monday, when music is laid on. Went back, musician was very good but restaurant empty and food not good. Ordered a meat cataplana to share, goodness knows what the meat was but it was old for sure. And there was a fiasco re the bill, charged E8 for half carafe (presumably to cover the 'free' drinks). It's a pity because there is a lot of potential, a dutch person married to owner's daughter was present both times and appeared to have the savvy to make this place more attractive to uk visitors. As it was, despite the excellent meal first visit, we left with a feeling of being ripped off, not nice. But 4 stars due to quality and reasonable price of first visit.

Overall the service, food and ambient extremely nice, certainly worth a visit. We were a bit disappointed with the amount of fish in our Cataplana de Tamboril in the main dish, however everything in the dish was extremely tasty. It certainly worth a visit.
